Like really? They need a buff. Aim assist isn't enough. When 120 hand cannons and pulse rifles perform better at the same ranges it renders scouts moot.

4 通の返信The point is the point. The problem is that Bungie is stubbornly keeping them underpowered, because they don't want us hanging at the back of maps and plinking away at enemies. Which I think is stupid and over-controlling. But that's me.

7 通の返信Serious question. Do you guys REALLY want scouts to be a thing? DMT shows how good scouts can be with long range, low zoom and damage buff, like two tapping on any range up to 70+. Imagine everyone sitting farthest corner waiting for enemy to show up just to tap-tap-kill next tap-tap-kill next someone rushes tap-tap-kill next. Wouldn't that make like AR, SMG, HCs, Fusions, Pulses, Snipers, LFR, sidearms etc. useless? Maybe I am exaggerating, but if 120s are causing this much problem scouts would be worst. If they get serious buff zoom must be upped to 30+ or such. Just my opinion.

Bungie is scared of scouts because of the mida multi tool meta we had in vanilla d2 yet scouts were still usable in d1 don't understand why they won't buff them. Ps buff scouts, pulses and handcannons for pve their damage is too low unless you have rampage or some other damage perk.

4 通の返信uuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhh.... you are probably way to close to your enemy. most maps in crucible doesn't really have use for scout rifles. some maps have some long lanes but you will most likely get sniped. all other areas are too small and you get outgunned

I've been asking this question for about 6 years now. The map design doesn't play to their strengths in most cases, and the maps that [i]do[/i] work for them get removed because people complain that they can't Shotgun-ape with 95% success on them. Scouts need so much help; the aim-assist buff was a good start but they need more. They need less zoom, they need to take reduced flinch and deal increased flinch - even if it's only versus Snipers, it would be fine, I think they could do with increased Stability across the board, on a per-archetype basis. Rapid Fire Scouts have a terrible ammo economy; they do the least damage per shot but also have the smallest reserve capacity, for no apparent reason. Their perk pools are almost always bloated with garbage, except there aren't even any good perks to balance it out. Just look at Royal Chase from last season, all of its base stats fall between 44 and 47, its perk pool includes Slideways, Grave Robber and Threat Detector; the best perk in the first column is [b]Field Prep[/b]. On a primary weapon. I could go on forever about the state of Scouts, I really could, but I just know that people will look at DMT, think it is representative of all Scouts and that they need no buffs "because it keeps beating my 120RPM Hand Cannon". Same happened to MIDA in D2Y1.
