How is spending resources making sure weapons/ideas that are years old can still hold a candle to new weapons/ideas a net gain in our experience?
Nerfing Warmind Cells to keep them around was a stupid decision. Should have just tossed them aside via sunsetting.

So you'd rather warmind cells never see use after a few months rather then being slightly less useful forever? Doesnt make much sense to me, in any case our entire weapon system shouldn't revolve around warmind cells, theres tons of other guns that would and have been sunset for no reason that now will stick around for good

They've been in use since Worthy. A year is not a "few months." And when the point of the game is Power Fantasy, it makes no sense to purposely hamper your capabilities. Why shoot one enemy when I can make magic orange balls that kill all enemies?

Again just like before sunsetting its your choice to use said item. Noone is forcing you, if people stopped -blam!- so much and realized playing your way vs playing like the streamer tells you is trump and better than sunsetting, the better off you will be.

The grind to get a god roll can usually chunk a good portion of that off, so yes months would be more accurate no? If grinding god rolls is a focus, that's a you problem. It's a trade off for playing a game riddled with RNG elements. Like people who never got weapons like Gjally or Thorn BEFORE the nerfs. By your logic, the fair thing to do is break Thorn again so everyone can fairly relive the glory days in D1. They had average perks anyway, the only agreed upon OP thing about them was literally just slapping on the Warmind Cell mods. And yes, I'd rather them just go away than use a crippled version of them. Like Luna's Howl / Not Forgotten. Complete jokes and shadows of their former selves.
They had average perks anyway, the only agreed upon OP thing about them was literally just slapping on the Warmind Cell mods.
Yes the cells make them strong, otherwise they're mediocre at best, I dont know why youd be upset about them though - without this change next season they would be dismantled or vaulted due to retirement. Now they're available for people to use even after that albeit with weaker versions. So youd prefer to vault or dismantle them rather then them see slightly less use? Why?
And yes, I'd rather them just go away than use a crippled version of them. Like Luna's Howl / Not Forgotten.
They are addressing the warming cell issuen some way at least, but I see what you mean. They are just such a powerful tool in our arsenal. Making new mods that can compete will be a challenge.
Yeah it’s kinda weird. I’m glad to see them address issues and such, but as always I will wait and see what comes to fruition. Also, Nowadays we have to be cautious of any developer. This is a step forward in a lot of ways though.
