I’m very happy I get to keep my 1310/1360 stuff for a bit longer. But be under no illusion, sunsetting will still happen. Just like it always has. Just under a different guise, that’s all. My guess is it’ll either be some kind of Armour 3.0 or they’ll remove powerful friends and radiant light and increase stats on gear, rendering most armour with stats under 70 useless. Something like that anyway.

While pretty good news going forward, Bungie won the war and was able to sunset years of god roll weapons we all grinded for in black armory, menagerie, sundial etc. They don’t respect our time and will find another way to achieve the same outcomes. Unless something has changed in leadership at Bungie, your time Is not respected unfortunately.

I wouldn’t call it a “Victory”. They did what they set out to do. Removed a lot of PowerCreep weapons. For both PvP and PvE. That’s what SS was all about. The same thing happened in D1. Everyone used Fatebringer/Vision Black Hammer GHorn For everything in YR1 of D1. It was the ultimate Loadout. To the point where it was a requirement half the time. They essentially just hit a reset button. And don’t kid yourself, It will happen Again.

Lose 3 years of our rewards. Never to be used again. They may recycle them back. But we'll never use the ones we got rewarded for in the past 3 years. All that playtime, effort, and rewards, gone!

Except all the currently sunset gear will remain sunset. Which was their goal to begin with. So you didn’t really win much.
