Hey bungo, I’m a US Navy veteran and I always though it’s be cool if we vets could potentially have a military veteran emblem in the game. Would you guys be willing to support this for say manorial day?

As someone that's been serving for over 9 years, I don't think this is a good idea. First of all, how would you prove your service to a video game company? I certainly wouldn't want to send them documents that would do that. And without proof it would just be based on trust, which would definitely be abused. Second as others have said, having a US military emblem could cause a lot of issues from players around the globe that don't support the US military, and trying to include emblems from all over the world would cause all sorts of issues. Overall I don't think that kind of thing belongs in a video game. You can be proud of your service, and others can support you for it as they wish, but you don't need to display it with every single thing you do.

When you joined the U.S. military, it was to serve your country and your fellow citizens, not to get participation trophies that say "look at me I'm special!" 2. We have enough participation trophies here already for people to display that have zero to do with D2. 3. While I respect the US military, creating such a pin for no reason (and yours isn't a reason) would only cause potential problems from people living in other countries and their feelings toward their respective military.

Destiny is an international game and you've seen the pandering they'll do to satisfy the majority. Not to mention the spotlighting would make a whole bunch of problems. I don't know, honestly. I think the best we can do is just show our support personally. Some people prefer to live up to the idea of Silent Service.

1 返信Kind of pointless isnt it? You do what you do for the pride and protection of your country, not to parade some emblem in a game. What about people from other nations that serve in the military too? Should bungie make ones for each country?

8 通の返信Starlight Ravenにより編集済み: 2/21/2021 8:11:04 PMWill it fund anything? Bungie makes emblems and pins if they want to support an effort, like Gay Pride, BLM or Australian Wildfire Aid. What would you recommend?

19 通の返信I'm a teacher. I think teachers should get one too. Medical staff should also get one. And supermarket staff, they should also get one. Police? Yep, give them one. Unemployed people should also get one.

1 返信I served 6 years, I don't need a special cornflake to remind people of my service. Thank you.

4 通の返信Yeah... nah. This will bring up a whole slew of problems. Be proud of the service you did for your country, but realize that Destiny isn't exclusive to american players. Not everyone is supportive of the u.s. military.

2 通の返信thank you for your service, whereas i respect the military because my dad was former air force i dont think bungie is a fan of the military plus which i cant believe im about to say this what bungie did with the blm and pride emblems those were profit stunts to give them a small amount of money so whereas a couple of other people said if they make an emblem for military it would not be taken to kindly by other countries because they might feel as if they didnt earn the right to be respected. but yes whereas it would be honorable to receive said emblem for recognition, i think your recognition should be kept with your family.

Thank you for your service. I appreciate the sacrifices you have made to allow this simple forum to exist and for me to post. However based upon Bungies language and support of other avenues, if anything they view you as an enemy. Which is saddning.
