Perdition, the 1300 Legendary Lost Sector is every wrong with the current approach to end game “challenge”. Ginned up by making the player incredibly weak.
Though I went in solo at 1288, that is well with the delta that you use for contest modifier content. Each run literally ran into a wall created by the Overload Champions. In each case, in addition doing such damage that I was getting two-tapped by them. In addition to them being able to teleport halfway across the map. In addition, to them spamming their weapons continuously?
They were healing faster than I could damage them with both a sword...and my super (Stormtrance). Despite have the proper mods equipped and meta weapons!!
It took THREE rockets to bring down ONE of the. Three direct hits with cluster bomb equipped rockets!
Whose idea of “fun” is this??
Whose idea of “fun” is reducing the player to hacking away at an enemy with a sword, and seeing his health bar go up!
Whose idea of “fun” is deploying what is supposed to be one of the most powerful attacks in the game, and watch an enemy not only shrug it off... but actually HEAL ITSELF WHILE UNDER ATTACK BY IT?!?!
It really lends credibility to the forum criticisms: Do you play your own game? And if you do, how did this get through??

Also, whose idea was it to think that Overload SMG did anything? Such a waste of an artifact mod. Should have at least added Hand Cannon Anti-Barrier. Haven't seen that in a few seasons. Overloads weren't too much of a problem until Beyond Light where they just ignore being stunned. They can spam like there's no tomorrow and they teleport constantly rendering spray weapons like Autos and SMGs useless when they have the Overload mod. I feel like Overloads should be have a much shorter cooldown before they can be stunned again, or have it be entirely removed because their health regen is ridiculous.

l Xemnasにより編集済み: 2/19/2021 8:38:23 PMOnly real problem I have with overload champions are smgs not having enough rounds in the mag. Well that and the captain in the fallen lost sector on europa. The one who is in the same room as the anti barrier servitor. Regardless of what you do he continues to shoot at you. Even when stunned. If you're running stormtrance, then equip the mod from artifact that gives arc grenades overload. Run pulse nades and if you miss chances are the champion will just teleport right into it. Edit: also about rocket launchers, didnt they split the damage on rockets with cluster bombs? Your using the wrong one grab one with lasting impression.

3 通の返信Okay, Imma go off topic and say that I agree with you on most things and disagree with you on others. But from what I have seen here, that because it's you, people are deliberately dragging this through the mud because of your infamy, which should not cloud their opinion on the topic. That being said, I feel like Overload Captains and Minotaurs are the most irritating pieces of shit when certain mods have to be used against them (Arc, Autorifles, SMGs, certain swords). I also feel like they can be buggy and need a bit of a rework

7 通の返信I don't understand why people will defend having champions in this game especially overloads. Barrier and Unstoppables are "meh" but overloads need to either have their AI adjusted or removed from the game entirely. Champions in general just create artificial difficulty by pigeon holing you into using a very specific loadout consisting of weapons that the player may not want to use and don't complement each other well. That, coupled with the fact that they can just spam teleport and shoot down a hallway with no cooldown and can one shot you is ridiculous. This is even more annoying when you add in the fact that most high level content involving champions, locks your loadout. (I don't like that mechanic either. D1 never had that and the game was still challenging without being frustrating most of the time). A perfect example of how difficulty should be handled is the new mission to acquire Dead Man's Tale. The enemies always scale to 20 power above yours so you're always under leveled, no annoying champions, and no locked loadouts. The adds in that mission will kill you pretty quick and they have a good amount of health but they don't instant melt you the minute you come out of cover. Same thing for the boss. You can tell what attack he's going to do by paying attention to his animations. This allows you evade and when he misses, he stays still for a second, allowing you to get some damage in before needing to fall back. I did that mission solo and blind and not once was I complaining about being killed to quick. It was fun.

30 通の返信@kellygreen2 Overloads arent that big of a deal if you hit them with an overload shot. Went in at 1285 on my titan, overload bow and anarchy melts them no problem. Are you not using overload shots?!?!?!?!

8 通の返信Uhhh.... overload champions get stunned just fine for me. Ran perdition close to 20 times yesterday, averaged 4 to 4:30 minute runs each run on playstation. I used Anarchy, Night Watch, and Ikelos SMG. I had 0 issues overloading a champion. My Ikelos SMG has Seraph rounds which stagger, thus keeping the mob stun locked until overload procs, easy win.

3 通の返信Sir_Latviaにより編集済み: 2/19/2021 6:08:20 PMThey are a bit overwhelming. But you are lying, you had the proper mods equipped? You obviously didnt or just did and didnt use them. When you stagger the overloads their health regen stops and they get weaker so you can kill them. Or at least get them down to finisher level if you so much weaker than them. My advice would be to use a bow to stun them from distance. Unless you are good at closing in, then use the smg mod. Additionally, if you are a hunter, 100% run invis dodge class. You can get in champions faces with stuff like lament really easy. Put on assasins cowl if you want an extra layer of survivability for when you kill the champions - go invis + heath regen. ALSO, please dont come and complain on the forums that you cant do an activity when you are 20 levels under. Have the common decency to at least level up to 1300 before you try and complain. Even then you probably just would complain because you cant use that head of yours to put together a loadout. Your character doesnt even have an overload mod equipped.

I was running Perdition in under 7-8 mins each run at 1288. Overload Bow with Explosive Head S-Salvo Lament Resonance Siphon + Armamentarium for double Duskfield nades Just stunlock the champions with Stasis and bow, get them half health and use Lament to finish them off. Easy

4 通の返信I legitimately had no issues last night, was getting it done in 6 mins. Used a bow, symmetry and the trials rocket. It was honestly easy even though symmetry isn't working properly with anti barrier. Don't get me wrong there is moments where it's annoying but you just have to take your time.

1 返信I would love to see a ViDoc Video or Stream of Bungle's "Crack" testing team soloing this stuff when 10 to 20 under light.

BasicallyiGrindにより編集済み: 2/19/2021 4:55:02 PMWorst part of that lost sector is the final barrier champion. It seems to triple in strength once you kill it's mate, barrier goblin 2. Ammo economy compounds this bcoz due to the earlier overloads you've no ammo left, break it's shield and it bombards you n melts you, you die, or hide, hide and it fully regens. Gotta wait to charge the super n super it. Do all that, then kill the boss, n get 3 herealways pieces lol. Jokers The also didn't take into account new players. Chasing a new exotic is nigh on impossible, took 50+ clears , a full day, n I got armamentarium. Realising it drops old exotics I checked chests, my titans missing 6 chest pieces, so I gave up, I'll do it next year when I've collected all the ones I'm missing via xur because despite there being about 900 exotics, they drop like there's only 3 in the game. I've seen more rocking horse shiit than I've seen exotics drop.

5 通の返信This is probably the only time we'll ever agree on anything. But this is not a new thing for Bungie with D1 or D2 either. They keep making more and more things incredibly difficult in the name of 'fun', albeit making it totally NOT fun. They forgot how to make games actually fun when they left their roots and got big.

5 通の返信I've gotta say, just because it's KG and he's known for being very opinionated and argumentative he's getting a lot of hate on this post. I disagree with a lot of his opinions about the game, but that doesn't blind me from seeing his point here. He's not wrong, overload champions are not a fun challenge, they're an overly annoying challenge. They don't add difficulty in a fun way, and they could use an adjustment of some kind.
