Warlocks are nowhere near as bad as people make them out to be. The last shadebinder nerf was completely unnecessary, but it’s not “unplayeable” as some people have said

Soul_Eater_42により編集済み: 2/18/2021 4:35:26 PMBut Shadebinder is somewhat worse than the other 2 Stasis subclasses now. Now that they removed the Grenade energy regain from Iceflare bolts (although it was an unintentionally added to the Aspect to begin with), it doesn't have any reliable way to regain ability energy like the other 2, other than Eye of Another World. Plus, they nerfed primary damage against frozen targets ( though it's supposed to be only 5%, it seems like it's way more than that), which is a huge nerf to Shadebinder, whose abilities revolve around freezing enemies, and it still doesn't have any way, other then weapons, to Shatter frozen targets or Stasis crystals. The new Aspect should have been one that allows you to Shatter frozen targets and Stasis crystals, like a shockwave similar to the one you can use during the Winter's Wrath super, or something. Instead, we get a shitty turret; a worse version of Arc Soul... And let's not forget that Bungie unintentionally nerfed the melee damage, significantly.

14 通の返信Sure, plenty of ways to enjoy warlocks right now. That doesn't change the fact that they're at the bottom of the chain, and have been getting fucked over since D1 when it comes to tuning, and gear.

4 通の返信Sunにより編集済み: 2/16/2021 3:42:42 AMShadebinder is still playable but its hella frustrating when shadebinder, the least problematic class of the 3 stasis classes in pvp and pve gets a pve nerf and revanent, the most problematic subclass in pvp gets a pvp buff. Yeah shadebinder is still fun to use but the 2nd iceflair bolts nerf hurt it a lot in pve even though no body was complaining abt it. Thats why people are pissed. They didn't even give a proper reason as to why shadebinder got nerfed in the first place. And at this point it just makes people wonder why they even play warlock when they can play hunter and at least be content that they won't get nerfed as hard.

1 返信Swiftlockにより編集済み: 2/16/2021 3:57:17 PMLet's be real for a second. Voidwalker has been powercreeped by the other subclasses with no new subclass-exclusive exotics or buffs to speak of. Stormcaller's only way to try and keep up with Dawn/Shade is by spamming Chaos Reach. Bottom tree is worthless and top tree is seldom used. Shadebinder has fallen victim to nerfs while Behemoth/Revenant haven't been punished all that much. Warlocks has a whole have around 3 or so exotics that are consistently useful for endgame content, while Hunters/Titans have a much wider variety of tools. The class has a LOT of problems compared to Titans/Hunters. Let's not kid ourselves.

1 返信Let's consider the following (for PvP, at least): - Shadebinder is low tier if/when Duskfields get nerfed, since everything bar Penumbral is mediocre at absolute best on it. And it doesn't have the tools to make Glaciers broken (an ability that shatters crystals). The chaining freeze isn't amazing, especially as enemy counts get lower, the turret isn't bad, but it's not amazing, and Frostpulse is a bad joke of an ability. - There's 1 viable tree on Stormcaller, and said tree requires an exotic to be viable at all. Top Storm doesn't have a consistent toolkit, and Bottom Storm is a meme under 99% of circumstances. - Top Dawn is great, but has a super that's got no consistency in performance attack to attack. Middle Dawn has a toolkit that can shine, but has limited utility in competitive play due to lacking a super. Bottom Dawn has a great super on paper, but Daybreak has MASSIVE consistency issues. The melee sucks, as does Icarus Dive. - Voidwalker is the worst subclass in the entire game. The only consistent tool any of the three trees have is Charged Vortex nades for decent area denial. Devour is outdated due to how many OHKs exist since Forsaken, HHSN has consistency issues on top of WAY too many downsides, and the melee is situational for the most part, unless you use a gimmick build with Nechrotics. So yeah, 80% of Warlock's toolkit is either inconsistent, or outright bad from a PvP player's perspective, maybe bump it to 70% for PvE, since Devour and Middle Storm have some use if you aren't just being a healbot with Middle Dawn.

4 通の返信While behemoth and revenant ate defo the strongest 2 in crucible atm....top tree dawn and chaos reach are argueably the best 2 counters. And I.M.O. could become meta themselves if the stasis subclasses get tweeked/nerfed in the future. Im a lock main whos run top tree dawn since icarus dash landed, but lately im finding chaos is the most reliable at mythic level survival.

1 返信Agreed. I’d even say that once Titans get a nerf, warlocks will be meta in most meaningful PvP. The chaos reach / geomag spam is already seeing high usage.

1 返信I just stay on my chaos reach and have fun anymore, idc about stasis or the other classes at all.
