Another proof as to why Bungie is disrespecting our time significantly.
Bungie introduced this cool new pulse rifle to trials with this incredible perk combo of outlaw/rapid hit + desperado. Wow, what a great weapon to chase, every content creator is telling you to get it now, it's amazing.
Stop buying Bungies BS. This exact weapon combo has been a thing for over 2 and a half years now. It came out in Warmind during year one. It was called Redrix's Claymore and was renamed and rereleased with random barrel/mag options in Forsaken. It's been around forever. (Also it's slapped on a reissued gun skin from D1). It was never used a lot because it's cool and fun to use for like 3 hours but thats it. Stop letting people tell you it's "desirable" loot back in trials already.
This gun WAS fun 2 and a half years ago with an exotic like perk combo that was Bungies whole reason to SUNSET weapons like this. Sunsetting was excused by exactly these outliers. Power creep. Now they hand out a weapon that was the whole reason for sunsetting for jumping off the map in a cheater infested game mode for 10 matches. This is what Bungie does. "Respecting our time".
Stop buying the crap they try to tell you. I laid off my rose tinted glasses (sadly) because i love this game but Bungie is just tearing it apart day by day with these stupid decisions. Sunsetting was NOT needed. It was a frickin marketing decision to sell us the same things we already grinded for for thousands of hours.

I mean it’s a straight upgrade to Redrixs actually, Better stats and the scope is WAY clearer. I think Rapid Hit is better then Outlaw on Redrixs and even things like Zen Moment are better too with a Pulse Loader mod or when using a Hunter to dodge reload

That experience is highly subjectional to your own experience. I mean I could say the same to you as you are saying about the youtubers. I'm not a huge fan of 340's in general. It's not the first "other' gun to get desperados. Desparado was reworked. I'm ok with this gun. But the the old guns didn't need to be sunset to make this gun happen. F sunsetting

You know the game is poor when the biggest benefit to buying the season is faster progression, glimmer, masterwork materials. You're literally asking me to pay you to play LESS. The game is so tedious, the only way it is worth money is to skip playing large portions. Except, IPAID for the game. Every season event is the same just reskinned. But now I have to regrind all this shit just to keep playing the neutered content. -blam!-ing hell Bungie.

I mean I would have rathered Master of Arms (pre nerf) or Micro Missle to come back. I may have actually attempted a run for them. I laughed when I saw people scrambling for Desperado. Of all perks, Desperado. The perk was always mid tier at best. And that's being kind. I feel like it's just a ploy for streamers to try and get the playlist more populated for their montages. I'm regularly running through people who have Desperado Messengers. My guess is that Desperado is only "good" right now because of Light level imbalance in Trials right now.

10 通の返信That awkward moment...when you realize sunsetting wasn't about power creep...but solely due to people whining about pvp being the only way to get cool guns... and then cool guns come back...in pvp 🤔😎👍

15 通の返信Yes. And Bungie had to nerf all of those weapons into the ground because they rocket up to the top of the power pyramid and made EVERY OTHER weapon in the game (in their class) irrelevant. So they dominated Crucible for over a year....and dominated PVE loadouts. Because they were the most powerful and efficient weapons. IOW, they BROKE the game. Because (without sunsetting) they were PERMANENT additions to the game. So Bungie only had four options. 1. Make weapons even more powerful and even more broken so that loot stayed relevant. 2. Retun the entire tame to that level of power, while allowing power creep to continue (that disaster gave us The Reckoning) 3. Nerf all of them into the ground so that power creep was controlled. Which solves the immediate problem, but does NOTHING to prevent the problem from reoccurring. 4. Actually FIX the problem....by ROTATING thsoe weapons out of the game on schedule so that there is always power to chase but it doesn't hang around and BREAK the game. In rare fashion Bungie ACTUALLY FIXED the problem. BEcause of Sunsetting, The Messenger is on the clock. Bungie can give us back the powerful perks that were in the PInnacle weapons, and be confident that they wont' break the game, because they will rotate out in a year. Leaving room for other loot to be relevant, and for Bungie to give us back that power somewhere else. THIS IS WHAT BUNGIE SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO, AND WHAT THE BENEFITS OF SUNSETTING WOULD BE. That they could give us power, and not have it break the game because every weapon they added to the game turned out be a permanent addition....and set power creep to run wild on the game.

2 通の返信Why are you upset about this? I completely agree sunsetting sucks but doing this are good steps in the right direction. Making powerful loot to chase and something to make the community excited. I believe all pinnacle perks should be put back on random weapons through a content cycle except for micro missile and reversal of fortune as they completely break the game. I mean imagine and auto rifle with killing tally? A 180 or 200 rpm scout with magnificent howl? There would be so many combinations and unique things to go after.

6 通の返信It's ok. If any new Trials gun or Armor piece you want appears for the 3 win spot, just grab the bounty and be a bot in your matches. Lose 10 games and the bounty is complete. Boom, free shot at a great weapon. 3 chances if you run all 3 characters. Trials sweats on the other team get a free win and you only waste about 15mins of your time being a bot instead of getting high blood pressure for an hour.
