Is it just me or does this season feel so exhausting?
I thought to myself today, “man I have to grind as high as I can so I could at least compete in trials.”And then I thought to myself “wait after the season ends the new base power level (1310) will be given to me in the next season anyway.”
So my next question, do we really need more Destiny 2?
Or do we need destiny 2 to change?
Love the new stasis aspects & traits but how come they have not integrated that with the light sub classes yet?
Also please do not get rid of sub classes that are not being used as much. Just give people the option to customize their subclasses just like how we used to back in Destiny 1. This would give people a reason to choose other subclasses and give them an edge so pvp isn’t completely filled with stasis users. We’ve literally been asking for you to bring that customized subclass option back since the start of destiny 2.
As far as power leveling goes. We should only really have to grind during major expansions. Yes there are people who can power grind very quickly. But at the same time, most casual players don’t have the time to grind 50 Levels straight. There are some people who are already at 1310 and it’s only day three. But most people have a life outside of the game and don’t want to spend over 6 hours a day grinding.

Update 2/14 Happy Valentine’s Day!
A lot of you are saying, “Oh well dude grinding is apart of the game! If you don’t like it then leave and find another game!”
You either misunderstood what I was saying or you only read the caption. But if you read up this point, let me clarify by emphasizing that this is about sunsetting. Not necessarily grinding.
Here’s a forum I made in regards to sunsetting:

The grinding has become the main part of the game. It is a cheap excuse for content, most of the stuff is reskinned anyway. In combination with sunsetting it is really killing the game for me. And don't get me started on the "new" weapons, which are exactly the old ones just with a higher number of useless perks that just make it harder to get what you really want. I hate that so many people just reply: "Then don't play the game if you don't like it!". The core gameplay of the game is actually good, why should I give up on it easily? However, after all these seasons I have lost faith in Bungie. To be clear: Light Levels are not content, it is just a cheap method to force people to play the same old stuff over and over again instead of delivering something new. It is senseless grinding and a huge disrespect of people's time. Same goes for the ridiculous Catalyst requirements that force you to do 400 (or 100 with respective season pass level). That's 18-20 hours minimum just for the Catalyst alone! In addition, you have to grind so many hours every season just to be able to play the exact same content on the level that you used to do, e.g. Strikes on Heroic or Master level. It really saddens me what the game has become after Forsaken. Maybe it really is time to say goodbye for good...

2 通の返信The grind in D1 actually meant alot of things. I could swallow it because it upgraded my subclasses. My gear. Etc. The grind in this game is just utter meaningless and dull.

1 返信I'm honestly just tired of doing content one day and then being 40 levels under to do the exact same content the next day. When the season of the Hunt ended, my newbie Beyond Light buddy was 1283 and he logged in on Tuesday and the first thing he said was, "wait, what the hell? Why am I 1260?" I said, "it's because you had +20lvl on the artifact and that doesn't carry over." To which he replied, "so we can't run Master Nightfalls anymore?" I said, "lol we could but it wouldn't be smart right now. It's 1330 to do Master Nightfall." He replied, "so the content I was just playing not even 5 hrs ago is locked because Bungie reset my stupid power level and made the nightfall even higher?" "Yup" Then he added, "But, then why is the Raid still 1220? *Silence* hmm, can we farm spoilers later?" 🙆

3 通の返信Powerleveling needs to stop for seasonal content! I get that when a new DLC drops, we need something to go for. But every season? Who the hell has time for that? And when will I be able to make builds? Guess neveras expensive as leveling gear is and how fast it sunsets.

5 通の返信Tired of Luke... tired of terrible leaders. Tired of terrible decisions. Tired of Bungie.

The biggest problem for me at this point is im losing interest in grinding crap that I potentially will never get. Im slowly getting tired of RNG. Im finding myself play other games more often. Which is obviously healthy, but the Destiny luster is slowly diminishing for me to a point where now I feel like im spite playing?

1 返信Animalにより編集済み: 2/14/2021 4:31:52 AMI seriously can’t do another season of grinding power lvls. This shit was old a year ago. I’m very much over it. By the time most casuals I see hit max it’s a week or 2 til the next season and it starts all over again. Why are we still doing this after the community has been complaining about it for soooo long? Think I’m out man. It’s not worth the time.

1 返信I hit that wall a long time ago, back during Warmind. The Annual/Seasonal model sucks because it essentially moves the finish line for levelling incrementally 4 times per year, which hastens burn out, and highlights why the light/power system ( and RNG based progression ) has always been stupid. And armor sunsetting just exasperates that problem, for obvious reasons.
-
Didn’t buy this season myself, for the first time since D1 Day 1. Slogged through some Nightfalls to try and get a Palindrome and keep hearing people are going like 30+ without a single drop, then there’s the perk pool being so wide. 7 years ago, I was okay with grinding things out and investing far too much time into trying for the god roll, but these days not so much.

2 通の返信The only thing I could actually sit and play all night (fuelled by beer!) was Crucible 6v6 Now that's shite. There's no way I could suffer the same "sameyness" of the PVE stuff over and over. 9 Battlegrounds? 5 Hunts? 3 Strikes? 😬 All X3 ? Gah! 👎

3 通の返信It's always been about the grind. That's the game man. I get fatigued after a while, and take a break if I need to. Perhaps just give yourself some time off... wanting to change the game won't happen and I don't think everyone wants that. Another observation, this season is built differently... It seems designed to prolong the grind for the entire season rather than crushing it out as soon as possible. I usually take a little time out at the end of each season, this time around I'm going to be taking a break each week, once the levelling and weekly challenges are done. All about approach baby... but yeah, maybe try something else if you ain't feeling it man, a change is as good as a rest.

29 通の返信Its called burn out. Play a different game then come back.... or don't. It'll do a lot for your perspective one way or the other
-
I played D2 religiously from launch to the end of Forsaken. For me the burn out was hard, as I realized this "games as a service" is nothing more than ever-changing goal posts, endless grind and FOMO tactics to get people to keep playing. I'm not someone with an addictive personality, so I stopped playing. Now I play for 2-3 months max, then leave and come back in 5-6 months. By that time I've missed a lot, but I also have a ton of new stuff to do/grind for/work on.

4 通の返信Well, they reduced repeatable bounty bright dust by 1/2 down to only 5 5 bright dust for a 3000glimmer bounty 5

2 通の返信Destiny is literally about the grind why do you think people loved the first game so much, if anything d2 has less of a grind than destiny 1.
-
21 通の返信I play because it’s fun. Not a chore. If it’s the other way around, find a new game.

1 返信I joined D2 partway through season 11. Having masterworked all my favourite gear, I do not relish the idea of starting over again. This being said I'm still sinking a lot of hours into the game, the gunplay is better any other FPS I have played (so far!). I think constant grinding will be what stops me playing eventually.
