After getting drip fed content and waiting for the big ol' NEW SEASON COME PLAY thingy for the last month, not seeing a single commentary on the TWAB about PvP, Stasis or something new is simply sad.
I don't buy the Season Pass because I like to see how it looks for the casual/free-to-play players and then buy it if it looks cool, this was the worst season so far, but let me tell you, this next one is gonna be something: no new gamemode out of the SP, recicled strikes, new weapons which can only be obtained once, armor pieces with 48 stat rolls, 3 recicled weapons and some adept weapons which no one is gonna use (no icarus grip). The casuals are and will get bored, the veterans are quiting all together and content creators have to migrate to other types of content (i.e Sweatcicle, Datto and Gladd).
Wake up Bungie, we love the game but we're tired of this week long silent for some unwanted news.
Not being a Bungie “fanHuman”, - like how I’m being inclusive just in case?
Those specific “content creators” leaving may actually be a good thing. Lot of negative changes from D1 to the current D2 were things those (among other known) content creators asked for during their summits with Bungie development.
Just because they have a cult-like following doesn’t make them the voice of the entire community.
In the end, you can’t really make everyone happy. I’m not happy with the current state of the game, but I’m pretty sure there are thousands of players who do not really mind it all that much. They just come in when there is something new, grind it out for a while and go back out into the wild until the next new thing becomes available.
I have not played anything as much as I’ve played Destiny since 2014. Seven years playing the same game series without paying attention to any other games. I’m pretty sure I’m older than most in these forums and that’s probably the reason why I’ve played the same game series for the past 7 years - old dogs don’t learn new tricks. I do however, understand that there is only so much I’m going to get out of a 10$ bill every couple of months.
The key to it all is to manage your expectations, or do as others have and Move On. Then and only then, will Bungie see the need to go the extra mile to get their audience back. Hopefully we don’t get hit by some new pandemic before they reach that conclusion. Teleworking and lack of accountability are not good for the video-game industry.
