He stated he knows a way to win and avoid wipes seems like he's working with them fine. Looks more like the other guy expects everyone to play his way and gets pissy when they don't. The modifier works with 2 people so dude isn't hurting anyone by taking a safe location to do damage.

You have to go with the flow in situations like that. Adapt to whatever strategy the majority are using or face the consequences. By being spread out from the group your negating health regen on this weeks modifier.
