Lol. Itll be the seasonal activity, watch. How can people be excited for a recaster? It is menagerie without the gameplay. Its utterly lazy, unfulfilling and anti looter shooter. May as well play cod and select your loadouts. What weapons could it be filled with that you dont have already? The last caster hand a handful of guns, of which my entire clan had god rolls within a few days.

Finally get to grind out some more fusions.

Umbral engrams, like the Menagerie, were Bungie’s chance to give us a rotating reward system that could stay fresh with new weapons coming in and out and also provide an opportunity to grab guns from past seasons we might’ve missed. But no. Same level of sameness. Stale. Postmaster filler. Instant gunsmith materials. It’s like they [i]try[/i] to disappoint us.

Low key a lot of this community reminds me of classic old ass people who just want a reason to complain because their lives are miserable. I get that the game is stale, but anyone who is complaining that the umbral recaster is coming back is a joke. How dare Bungie bring back a popular mechanic that cuts grind down and allows simplistic and effortless target farming. Smh. Being frustrated with stasis or sunsetting or light seasonal content or whatever at least has some logical arguments (not that I'd necessarily concur with said complaints) but if you're complaining about this in particular you need to seriously step away because you're way too emotionally invested in a video game.

This is why I tell people it's just a videogame. Remember, a vocal minority on the forums here lack Self management and coping skills. Enjoy your time with your buds. Understand that the cynics are the biggest fanboys of them all and know that they love to hate the game, talk about the game and hate to see people play the game. I, too, am super-glad when someone takes my stuff away then comes back a few months later to return it with a new sticker on it and trying to pretend it's a new gift I should be thankful for. I also can't wait to have to grind Recaster unlocks every season. Oh boy.

I don't fall for that. They're bringing the recaster back to try to put some bandaid on the sunsetting issue - to allow us to farm gear quicker. Is that really the type of game we want? I want the hunt for gear to feel meaningful and I want that rewarding feeling when I finally get what I hunt. Not some slotmachine were I can easily pull the lever and 10 weapons with limited lifespan falls out. Quantity != Quality

I completely agree that Destiny has a lot of areas of improvement, regardless of your opinion on sunsetting and the DCV, it left a void that has not been filled, leaving players feeling jaded. However... The complaints I see on the forums are mostly unfounded and just whining because they can, and Umbral Engrams is a perfect example of this. One of the best aspects of Season of Arrivals was Umbral Engrams as a way to obtain loot from current and previous seasons while playing activities you want to play. They are a great way to alleviate the sunburn of sunsetting as it provides a method of obtaining most current viable weapons. Depending on how it is implemented next season, it is very possible it could be a permanent addition to the game, similar to Prime Engrams. The one major complaint from Umbral Engrams is that they dropped too often, and that has been specifically addressed. Honestly, the complaint I have from the TWAB is the method of implementing Gilded Titles, the idea is great, but implementation is awful. We don't want more grindy triumphs that need to be repeated each season, that's a step in the wrong direction. TL;DR: If you want Bungie to take you seriously, stop complaining about absolutely everything and provide actual feedback. If you simply complain about everything, you are going to be seen as the '[Masculine Guardian] who cried wolf'
