To those worrying about custom profile pics and the chaos that would ensue
I thought about it a bit and like... just report the things that break the CoC like anything else you would.
There isn't anything stopping people from posting naughty pics and videos or talking about certain subjects right now other than the threat of a ban anyway, so it's actually no big deal.
Yeah there's gonna be a flood of idiots trying to be funny or clever, but itll die down to just the occasional knucklehead after awhile. Besides, profile pics would be a lot harder to get away with than some naughty bits buried within a chain of replies you know?
That and profiles can be moderated too, and when that happens their account becomes a series of numbers and letters with the default pic and they're unable to edit it for a time.
So yeah! Like my lawyer said when I got expelled from high school, "It's all gonna be fine, everyone just needs to calm the -blam!- down okay?"

I'd likely just default to my current emblem which I've used for years. And by limited I mean maybe you only get to upload a custom one after X amount of replies or X time spent as a member. That, and only allowing swap outs every so often would likely help keep things fairly clean I would imagine. Also, misuse of it = Ban for a looong while. Should be a decent deterrent.

3 通の返信I think it's a good change if they implement it. Temporary but controllable chaos for a little while, then more engagement than before. It could go a long way to people spending more time on here. I'm just uncertain on whether I would change my picture to something Tolkien related, mythology related, Firefly related, or just stay the same.

4 通の返信... Is- is anyone actually worried about this being an issue? Are they new to the internet or something? Pretty much anything online that allows you to have custom avatars, PPs whatever nomenclature you prefer, regulates the stuff heavily to the point the system itself will take care of any infractions with only the rare occasion where something "inappropriate" slips through and requires a report.

It’d end up like Discord in the end, with the majority of people using whatever the popular meme is or avatar from the trendy game at the time. Of course there’ll be the [u]absolute f•cking comedian[/u] who puts an anime girl doing unspeakable things with an octopus, but as soon as a Ninja spots it, we don’t need to worry. Edit: also I doubt they’ll actually do it. I can see them removing the custom Halo avatars, but this seems too good to be true. Maybe I’m being pessimistic.

1 返信Imma preface this by saying all I’ve seen is that one Duardo post so apologies if there’s been anything more official I’ve missed, but I think people are overreacting to something that just happened to be mentioned as a possibility. In my opinion it’s far more likely that they’re gonna remove our personal halo avatars and that’s it. The way this place has gone in recent years they’ve tended to remove non-destiny-related personalisation rather than add it, they may allow us to keep the avatars we currently have selected and just remove them from the roster so we can’t change it without losing it. That’s what I always expected to happen in the future, it’s surprising they’ve kept the rest of our stuff for even this long.
