They’ve addressed this problem and have said they can’t fix it. I have no clue why, most likely a problem to complicated for me to understand.
I find this really annoying aswell as I am a Titan and most of my abilities revolve around melee.

Usually when Bungie says they can’t fix something, it’s due to the reason that if they were initiate a fix, it would cause problems elsewhere in the game that they see as being worse than the initial problem so they just leave it be. Which tbh kind of sucks, but it is what it is, I guess 🤷♂️
