Augmentation timegates made for holding players in game without content?
Timegate 3 weeks. For WHAT?
If u die with scanner - wait 3 weeks. For WHAT?
Bungie mb u will try to work some times for making REAL content and play on your game?
Trying stretch content by using timegates. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

1 返信just so some of you know. Im not sure if this has happened to any of you. But half the time when you die with scanner, it won't let you pick up a new one.

2 通の返信If I was at Bungie I’d create a helmet that looks like dripping poop and add a triumph for playing every type of activity 10x with it on just to laugh at the “completionists”

1 返信No you can die with the scanner buff and go get a new buff for entire week. I died couple times went back and picked it up again. 1 time I shot the wrong one without buff changed the room they spawned again. So yea I didn’t encounter any problems with this.

1 返信When you buy the perk from variks you have it for the whole week. IF YOU DIE WITH SCANNER, just go back to where you find the vandal and kill him again and collect scanner again. You don’t have to wait 3 weeks. Please upvote for everyone to see!

2 通の返信The BL timegates I think were just to make it so people couldn't blow out the entire year's worth of expansion content in 3 weeks. It would look pretty lame if people wrapped up the annual expansion in under a month. The seasonal timegates I'm pretty sure are psychological, they want people around towards the end of the season so they are more likely to play the next one. If people could be done quickly, they might take a hiatus and just not bother coming back. Bungie the human urge to finish what was started to help keep people stuck in the game loop.

What’s the point of complaining? Bungie has been showing us time after time that they are lazy and have no interest in what we say. They’ve shown they will not fix the game, no vendor refresh, Same old trash iron banner, and no pvp weapons to chase yet we still pay money for every dlc and the cycle repeats. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. Just stop buying/playing their crap. I’m guilty of this foolishness as well. I took a year off came back and things didn’t change it got worst.

Some time-gating I can accept. Rotating strikes like we've always had and rotating Nightmare Hunts, Exo challenges or Empire Hunts make sense. Other things, like the need to time-gate the two remaining entries on the Warden title, I don't get. Time-gating discoverables, I don't get. Assuming the playerbase doesn't have anything to do but live Destiny every day is just stupid. Baking in totally artificial ways to keep us logging in is stupid. People have missed unlocking titles simply because they missed a week of Destiny due to everyday life, or even just a weekend. Again, that's stupid.

If you die with the scanner buff you should be able to see in your inventory you still have the transponder so you can kill the scanner emey again. My dad had that last night. That being said the time gating is so bad...

1 返信As much as I agree that Bungie's implementation and reliance on excessive timegating is to obfuscate the lack of content, your specific complaint regarding the scanner holds no merit. Just kill the guy again once he spawns and your issue is resolved. I'd pick a better example next time.

1 返信I've viewed the augment and penguins as Easter eggs all along. I don't care enough about their little rewards to get upset about them (still completed most of them because I had the time). The time-gate on Hawkmoon is kinda sad though, imagine we were able to go for it's perk since they began their winter vacations...heck, why not the week following its release?

Sure you might have to wait 5 minutes for the new enemy with scanner to spawn but you don't have to wait 3 weeks... LOL! I'm one who rarely ever defends Bungie and often gets time-outs for my criticism of them but this one is just not a legitimate complaint as you don't have to wait 3 weeks if you die with the scanner.

One more hit on primaries, even a small one, and you might just as well remove them entirely. Your dev team is a joke under smith.
