There was no stasis last season when pvp numbers dropped. Since it's in the game now tho this is the go to excuse right. Pvp has been crashing for months and stasis wasn't the cause. Makes it even better that it's pvp mains complaining about it mostly. I mean it had nothing to possibly do with the fact the competitiveness of pvp got removed no it's all stasis 's fault. Please just admit it for what it is really, cbmm was implemented to hand easy games to a small group of players, but stasis has caused our supposed good players to realise there easy mode is gone. Now there demanding a return to like last season, but what happens when stasis get's removed/nerfed and nothing changes. Oh I know they'll find something else to blame. Maybe next time it'll be the maps fault.

Uh...pvp numbers dropped because people were sick of 600s obliterating them and having no legitimate reason to play. People are now sick of being instantly killed and frozen while having no legitimate reason to play. I see 2 similarities that seem to be a trend in pvp...

14 通の返信Facelaussにより編集済み: 1/5/2021 4:47:03 PMStasis has made the game even easier, and is clearly broken in pvp idk what to tell you. It makes it even easier for higher skilled people, it’s not like it’s magically only useful to lower skilled people? Your point about it is kinda weird. Still better than auto meta imo. Also rumble, elim, comp are all supposed to be sbmm so it’s not gone? Many people aren’t playing because there’s no loot to chase, pvp is being neglected yet again. New maps would be nice too, same thing with strikes(no loot and new strikes) I played those in D1 but not in D2.

3 通の返信What drives most people away from PVP is CBMM, Lag, P2P networking and Toxic sweats. People don't want to deal with that shit anymore.

2 通の返信Bungie always uses lame excuses to justify their inability to deliver content in quality and time. Fact remains they can’t care less, they’ve earned more money for every dollar invested than ever.

5 通の返信Dredgen Araphelにより編集済み: 1/5/2021 7:36:50 PMStasis is not why, streamers just want it gone and can't accept that when everyone is broken they are normal. Same thing happened when everyone got pinnacles and thats why we have sunset streamers are responsible and were the only ones praising it. When their dominance is threatened they metagame and use their influence to shift it into their favor while letting Bungie take the heat.

5 通の返信An Errorにより編集済み: 1/6/2021 2:31:37 AMYou have a super? My shatter dive grenade that I get back in ten seconds doesn’t care Realistically, CBMM is better for casual players. Call of duty has won the market with its matchmaking system. SBMM, however, every few matches, it will huck you into a lobby of players much worse than you so you can have a crazy fun match. And getting that one match every once and a while has been one of the two pinnacle reasons people throw thousands of hours into cod. The same thing happens here in destiny with CBMM. Better connections so that’s a general improvement. But everyone can end up in a lobby against people far worse than them at any time. A lot of people spam leave games until they find a lobby they will stomp in (quite a few pvp Youtubers get caught doing this even when not making content for example) and only play those. Because deep down, everyone wants to have a lobby where they stomp and SBMM fights against that idea

The maps are an issue lmao, the current map pool doesn’t have many fun maps to play on atm, I can’t remember the map names that they removed but I remember there being a good number of maps that we don’t have anymore. A lot of those maps are ones I thought were cool too. Now we’re just left with maps that have terrible spawn zones that make them lopsided all the time which makes the maps unenjoyable most of the time. So yeah, I’d say maps will be complained about once stasis isn’t the hot topic for discussion because they truthfully aren’t great right now. We need the removed maps to be added back.

1 返信CBMM isn’t the issue as SBMM is definitely back to some degree. Stasis also isn’t the main issue. It’s the rewards. PvP needs some sort of grind on a casual quick play level as well as a hardcore grind that’s more rewarding than how the trails adept weapons are currently set up.

1 返信I mean the maps could be better, long range weapons are handicaped when 6v6 is involved on small maps, bigger maps could fix many issues but there is more to it

4 通の返信I only play casually in PvP and I couldnt give two shits about stasis. Something new and different. Id rather get killed by stasis than a shotgun.

6 通の返信I don't understand... So all the players that have been given stasis and it's the "high skilled players" that are complaining? Stasis is completely broken and when given to a higher skilled player wouldn't they just mop the opposition with it and be happy??

3 通の返信CBMM is your excuse? That's a good one because connections have been in the garbage container for months.

1 返信Bungie never has done CBMM. What we have now is completely random matchmaking that seems to favor teams and abuses people with good internet connections when trying to fill remote lobbies with low numbers. When we have decent balance everyone still complains. I feel like things are balanced when I can find HC's, pulses, scouts, autos, etc. that I can use. Everyone complains a lot less when it's a HC meta. I almost completed the new strike solo the other day on xbox, so numbers must be down in all activities? Stasis is a great example of why this game is bad. Let me try to explain. In order to make PVP decent stuff has to be nerfed to the point that it won't be usable in PVE. I don't see a happy medium in PVP / PVE. Bungie doesn't want anything to feel different in PVP, so they have always been unwilling to make things charge slower or have less range, etc. Stasis is pretty much 1 hit kill abilities where most abilities in other subclasses are not one hit. Personally, I would love to have some subclasses locked out of PVP, so they could be strong in PVE. Why not have rotating buffs in one of the playlists to change things up? Having all the lower end players get stomped over and over was never going to work long term. We can't all be pro players. Some people are very young or old or have physical disabilities. And if we are going to get stomped then at least adjust rewards and bounties. More freelance queue -- maybe not make them tiny icons people would miss? More rewards -- I think the truth is that they took developers from Destiny to work on other projects/games and now the game is on life support. It's an easy game to play when you are tired, but it's not the hobby it once was. I mainly wished that there was less grind on the grind.

1 返信
Please just admit it for what it is really, cbmm was implemented to hand easy games to a small group of players
Sigh, why are there always people like this.... The game is filled with abilities and gear that are extremely easy to use, you are less accurate while in the air, everything has a ton of aim assist and very generous hit boxes, etc. The game is casual to very core, this would not be a thing of they actually focused on catering to the better players because they would slap you even harder if the game didn’t have these things to reduce the skill gap. CBMM is there to reduce the queue times and lag, plain and simple, and everybody benefits from those things. Also, what are the actual odds that you’ll even end up matchmaking this small minority you speak of all that often if your argument was correct ? Not that often at all, because like you said, its a small minority, and most lobbies will consist of players who are roughly average since that is the biggest pool of players.

4 通の返信I gave up on this community when they started complaining about teamwork in vanilla D2.

6 通の返信Yes, Stasis is OP. It's crowding out other subclasses, it's creating OP ability crutching and spamming, it's shifting focus away from gun skill and is causing people to stop playing.

23 通の返信
cbmm was implemented to hand easy games to a small group of players, but stasis has caused our supposed good players to realise there easy mode is gone.
You do understand SBMM was “Easy mode” and made PvP a boring and monotonous grind, preventing growth and making it so people who work hard don’t get rewarded. If you don’t care about PvP, you shouldn’t get to enjoy its best experiences. If you say stasis removes “easy mode” you are genuinely the most delusional person on the planet. Pressing melee or super doesn’t make you good. Getting a snipe takes skill, throwing a grenade and shatter diving faster than someone can react does not. Face it, you’re salty Bungie stopped coddling you and now you won’t let go of your crutch. Sorry m8, but this isn’t going to last. If you want someone to coddle you, go play strikes.
