So much is gone... it is crazy!
Why waste all assets you already have in the game, that with some love, still have a huge potential?
Add some specific loot and cosmetics to chase and some modifiers and you are ready to go. All that almost wasted developers time with these timed events! Those timed events, always felt rushed, without loot or purpose.
Of course I want to see new stuff in the game, but the same they did with lost sectors, change them, modify them and add exotics as a random drop, it is easy there are enough assets in the game.
Make jumping puzzles in the already existing Calus raid, with a parkour through the underbelly. Parkour in the dreaming city. Rotate Pinnacle gear between raids (same for dungeons). Use the modes and enviroment already in the game!

1 返信They removed all of that stuff to make room for all of the new strikes, crucible maps, planets, weapons, and armor that they added with Beyond Light. Said no one ever.

2 通の返信It is because it contributes nothing after a certain point and gets outdated. Gambit is the prime example of this. Content passed it's time and needs a complete overhaul or to be replaced.

You're right, and they already have Destiny 1, just throw that in the game as well. And they already have several Halo games, just throw those missions in as Strikes. Let's have the game be 500 GB so it runs slow and is nearly impossible to update with Sandbox changes. The idiocy of people in the forums never ceases to amaze me...

Bungie has repeated told us that the game was getting too big to run well....and we console players have been saying that the load times were brutal, and frame rate drops were so frequent that they were just part of the experience with some content. With the vaulting of old (dead) content, and the recoding of parts of the game, the game runs 10X better now than it did this time last year on console. For the price of locations I seldom went to, and content that I seldom played? It's been a huge QoL improvement.

4 通の返信They removed it all for a reason. Don't get me wrong, I really miss the Leviathan. For some reason I loved the raid layers. Probably because I don't have enough time to ever do a full raid. Load times are way, [i]way[/i] faster though. I guess that's why.

Not to defend any vaulting or argue. But I just do not understand the communities obsession with the menagerie. That shit was boring and tedious just like any other seasonal activity. Just mindless slaying. That took way too long. People like the targeted loot aspect I guess. Well they have been keeping up with that to some degree. With the lure this season, umbrals last season. There has been ways to target seasonal loot all along. Minus the running thru corridors for 15 mins. Why are so many butthurt over not being able to slay ads on the leviathan?? I dont understand this sentiment at all.

So with the new light system and reusing content as you know, D1 content, that doesn't cost as much creating new content. Bungie will be making bank. The problem is, the game will always be lacking when it comes to quality content. But no worries, we have all the new light players to throw money at the shop. 300 million in 2019 is their inspiration. I wonder how much more they made in 2020.

6 通の返信I agree. Or they should update the loot for the blind well and alters of sorrows, which are still in game now. Imagine if they had a loot system like the menagerie and regularly updated it every season! For a game that desperately lacks content, I don’t know who at Bungie thought it was a good idea to make current in-game content obsolete.
