EDIT: The winners have all been contacted so check your PMs if you haven't already! Thanks!
The Dawning has us in the mood for gifting. Since it's pretty difficult to send out freshly baked cookies, we thought giving out 20 Beyond Light Digital Deluxe Editions would spread some cheer.
You can enter to get one for yourself or to gift it to a friend. Just reply to this post below. Make sure you only reply once as a parent comment though as anyone replying more than once will be disqualified.
That's it. You have until 10AM Pacific tomorrow(12/22/2020) to reply to be eligible. I'll pick winners at random and DM them asking what platform they would like. So keep an eye on your inbox tomorrow around 12 Pacific!
Hope you are enjoying the Dawning and have a great rest of your year!
Since it's pretty difficult to send out freshly baked cookies, we thought giving out 20 Beyond Light Digital Deluxe Editions would spread some cheer.
Since it also seems difficult to release a quest that is even remotely possible for active players to complete how about adjusting "Sharing the Dawning Spirit". As of 12/22/2020 5:27 AM EST we have managed to accumulate 241,789,314 Dawning Spirit and MIGHT hit 250,000,000 at weekly reset. This means it will have taken 1 week(1/3 of the time needed) of a 3 week event to reach 250,000,000/1,000,000,000(25% of what is needed). If we do hit 250,000,000 by weekly reset that will put us at an average of 1,488,095.238095238/hr. When we first started we averaged around 1.6m/hr, then once most the community got their ships fully upgraded we hit 1.8m/hr. now we have fallen slightly lower than when the quest went live now that alot of people have realized we were given an impossible to complete task. Unless we ended up with ALOT more players OR ALOT of players were to play for unrealistic hours this quest was never even close to possible to complete in the 3 week time frame we were given. In 3 weeks there are 504 hours and in order to reach the 1,000,000,000 speculated, but believable given the previous increases, we would have needed to average 1,984,126.984126984/hr just to meet the deadline before Eva leaves. Due to people being in different time zones and real life responsibilities this quest needed to be be able to be completed 12 hours before Eva leaves the tower meaning we actually needed to average 2,032,520.325203252/hr so that people with real lives and in different time zones could collect their rewards. It feels to me as this was more of an attempt to pull in more new players and/or get some currently inactive players to return to get your player numbers up. This is not how you spread holiday cheer.

4 通の返信ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕにより編集済み: 12/23/2020 8:00:04 AMShowing how “benevolent” Bungie can be after profiting so well and much all year, is fine. Literally doing nothing for those of us that bought this stupid dlc shows how greedy and ignorant you all really are... Wanna be generous? Stop the sunsetting BS and get back to being a real fps... You’ve lost your way. All of you. Putting it mildly: Bungie is to gaming what 2020 is to this world.

4 通の返信Oh boy, you know when the community loathes you if a post like this (which is very generous and thoughtful, let's be honest) gets only 40 likes.

Wow! I’m impressed! Thanks for gifting a few copies to those of us on these forums! Maybe I’m wrong but I believe many guardians here on these forums are very passionate about the game, as am I. Cozmo, this is a noble gesture considering the amount grief these forums produce. Thanks you sir Blazin’Bender

How about shipping the deluxe editions on time next time you release something - I preordered in June from your own store and it took you two weeks after the release date to send out the damn code... Merry Christmas everyone!

Where does the director have this game going? This is a list of things to me that is not making any sense. 1. Power means barley anything in this game. 2. Progress doesn't mean anything being reset every 3 months. 3. Correct me if I'm wrong, gear is going to be sunset regularly as the reset is. 4. Activities have been increased when it comes to how much damage enemies do to us when Dawning released. 5. Only 1 destination relevant out of the entire game. 6. No replayable content 7. To get any new loot added to the game we have to buy seasonal content. 8. Things like IB have been a copy and paste with rewards for 2 years. 9. Reaching max light means nothing because it doesn't change anything knowing the power cap, and how much damage we take hasn't been increased for endgame activities. Plus the mods badly help with that. 10. The RNG with the absured amount of duplicate are out of control. So where is he going with this game because Bungie made this entire game pointless!?
