I'm reaching out because I am a casual player and am finding the end-game content to be overly pushing. Primarily because in my view, too much emphasis on weapon / armor mod selection, aggravating boop / splash damage / stomp mechanics, time limits in certain events, difficulty higher then actual light rating of the event, and having to make load out sacrifices.
Too much emphasis on weapon and armor mods is my main gripe and all other issues mentioned above further compound it. For most of the game this is not really an issue but where they matter, not selecting the right combination will make certain content incompletable. Great example are the solo lost sectors. You really have to plan every weapon and armor mod slot carefully and will likely waste a lot of time doing trial and error to find the best combination. Add time limits into this and the game will kick you out if you can't do it fast according to bungies time standard. Not to mention getting bogged down by the high power enemies that boop you off map, stomp you into walls, and or flood the space around you with endless damage affects which drain your character quickly and kill you in your own well of radiance if on a warlock. Too much punishment; even at suggested power level is 1250 which really feels like 1280 and the 1280 is 1300 more or less.
As a casual player, I really miss being able to create a load out that was largely one size fits all and didn't require expert knowledge of all the mods and the minutia of how they all work together. This move toward extensive mod use has made the game too technical and less fun. It burns players out quickly and makes them stop playing. Me personally, I just want to play the game and don't really care much about all the technicalities.
I sincerely hope that this is addressed and reworked. This game shouldn't be about speed runs and make it or break it load outs. Certainly there are those who enjoy that stuff so its great they have a venue but for me; things like worlds first or worlds fastest in video games really means nothing to me so I personally prefer not being pushed toward competitiveness in what I do simply for relaxation. Destiny just isn't that serious.

I pretty much use a one size fits all load out. Protective light and reactive pulse, it helps with all end game and base game content. I switch reactive pulse to lucent blade for atraks but other than that my mods never change. I agree that it was a little daunting before I knew how mods worked, and I played most of the base game without them. In reality though it doesn't take long at all to learn, just watch a 10 or 15 minute video on YouTube and then spend 10 or 15 minutes putting some mods together.

End game content is not easy and hate to say it's not fun (but there are some masochists out there that get enjoyment from this). There is no fun in being under powered or wiping a dozen times and spending 3 to 5 hours for the privilege of some descent loot (and that is even debatable). I don't know what else to say to you other than end game stuff is not for you. You must be at one with your loadout and mods to even tackle them. If you don't your experience will be bleak and futile.

I understand it gets pretty frustrating for newer players and guardians who are just trying to chill. But once you get used to how the season artifact mods and charged with light mods work it really isnt as complicated or overbearing as it originally seems. It doesn't have to be a contest. Just play the game how you enjoy playing it. Don't give up Guardian

1 返信I like the idea of mods but in practice I feel like they missed the mark. First off I took a break shortly after shadowkeep so I missed when they introduced the warmind mods so been playing catch up and that could be affecting my opinion. The point of mods is they're supposed to augment how you play and in that they do but they also force you to play that way. I just don't find it a very interesting way to play.

I partially agree but only from a mod/modifier perspective. I wish the game was more about skill and accuracy than the mod game. If you run multiple roles in the raid you will spend a good of amount of time swapping mods. Your point about lost sectors is accurate. Not because of difficulty but because they make you run a bunch of guns you don’t care about and never will except to break a harpies shield in that moment. DUMB.

I agree that Destiny endgame is made for certain types of players. Unfortunately, Destiny does not, and never will, have enough content to allow for the more casual, varied, and accessible endgame experience you find in other mmos. I always believed that being able to run old activities unsynced would open the end game up for more players, but with content being vaulted, this is more unlikely than ever to happen. Destiny is what it is, and that won’t change any time soon.

Swiftlockにより編集済み: 12/21/2020 11:57:50 PMThe hardest content in the game should require planning, strategizing and tuning your loadout. That's what makes it a challenge. It'd be dull if you could plow through everything with anything you want and little thought. Demanding strategies and specific loadouts to overcome endgame challenges is 100% good and normal. The only major problem is that some champion mods are inconsistent and don't work properly.

That’s just part of the design - start the season way under level, grind to rank up, & get the good loot. By the end *most* content is approachable for the average player. Then there’s grandmaster level for the most talented & dexterous (not me!) Something for players with a wide variety of skill-levels to have fun with.

SicDireWolfにより編集済み: 12/22/2020 11:02:20 PMRPG shooter hybrids may not be your thing, if you think destiny 2 endgame is punishing then man oh man try the division 2 The min maxing is a lot deeper and a single stat boost can easily make or break your build

Why do you attack the 0000.1% of the END game that rewards exotics? That also becomes VERY easy with power gain. The game hands out exotics and very casual routes to max power and raids. Gm nightfalls and 1280 lost sectors require class building because they are pinnacle and highly rewarding. If you want truly brainless activities then thats the rest of the game. Destiny barely has any depth, it would be wise not to attack the 000.1% that does because without it the game becomes very sterile. It isnt seeming like its bungie with the problem here.
