Expose someone from 500 years ago to an (for us) ordinary smartphone? They would have considered it witchcraft or wizardry. Imagine what someone from 1000 years ago would think of an airplane or a space ship?

47 通の返信The only difference between technology and magic is that one works for reasons (you understand) and one works for "reasons" (you don't understand). The moment you begin to understand it to the point that it can be studied and replicated, it ceases to be "magic" and becomes "science". If a wand is used to focus magic in the user, it's a technology similar to how an atlatl can be used to empower your throw. If a wand has latent magic that you can release at will, it's comparable to a gun.

6 通の返信Magic is simply an ambiguous technology. And technology is absolutely magical to new eyes. Nonetheless, for our world at least, I choose magic, for I enjoy an answerable phenomena to a mundane explanation.

1 返信Technology in a couple thousand years will probably be way for useful and cool than magic

8 通の返信Sure you could shoot someone, but wouldn't it be more fun to twist the blood in their veins to control them like a puppet and get them to shoot their friend?
