It boggles my mind how many people complain about console recoil. Recoil is so stupidly easy to adjust for it isn't funny. I mean how hard is it really to apply slight pressure to a stick in the opposite direction? The almost no recoil on PC, ps5, and series x is only when FoV is set to 105 which I don't think is intentional, but actually a glitch and for those of us who really don't like the squished out of proportion appearance it gives everything it is unfortunate. The reason I think this is unintended is if you adjust the FoV in the opposite direction recoil gets worse as you decrease the FoV.

Stability is directly tied to FoV to a point. The main difference is Bungie vs Vicarious Visions and HighMoon. D2 Console was made by Bungie D2 PC was made by Activision. Where PC has a completely different set of rules. Yes the FoV change helps the New Consoles to a point but it’s still no where near like PC. Even PC controller users have less recoil. The Reason? They’re two different games. END OF STORY.

I’m not arguing with you that recoil isn’t hard to control but you might want to know or understand what you are talking about before you start spewing blasphemy
you claiming that their is no recoil simply is not true at all
This isn't what I said. I said "almost no recoil". Maybe you should practice not twisting an/or eliminating words from someone's statement in an attempt to discredit them.

Fov at 105. There's tonnes of recoil. Not much different (if at all) than PS4. Certainly nothing like pc.

Either way you put it the statement is false. I’m assuming you don’t play on a PC nor do you have a PS5 or series x you what are you basing your claim on? You personally don’t have any experience with the fov slider and whether it helps with recoil or not.
You personally don’t have any experience with the fov slider and whether it helps with recoil or not.
I guess it is just a figment of my imagination then that I have a gaming PC and play Destiny 2 on both Console and PC and that my profile here shows as much.

My bad I didn’t look at your profile but fov has nothing do to with recoil control. I’m not sure where you are even getting this from really? It makes no sense to me or anyone else on this post obviously. If you can show me some object evidence or proof it does I’ll be more than happy to take a look but I don’t think anecdotal evidence works here.

Do you even understand or seen destiny’s idea of recoil? There is a major difference in recoil on pc compared to console. FOV maxed out or not, Bungie designed destiny 2 guns on pc to have little to no recoil.
I also play on PC and ps4. Recoil on consoles is stupid at times
When i saw "Recoil on consoles is stupid at times". Made me think"Does this mean sometimes it isn't stupid at times and actually fine?". If so then there has to be something else going on if you didn't choose the wrong wording because recoil isn't going to change "at times". I decided to try something. I loaded in on my pc and did some shooting, loaded in my ps4 pro, did some shooting, then I went downstairs and logged in on my wifes ps4 pro and did some shooting. The difference in recoil using controller on my PC and my ps4 pro was negligible. KB/M noticeable but not game breaking different. Now on my wife's ps4 pro connected to her budget ONN 4k tv that I absolutely hated buying it was awful and if my PC case wasn't so heavy and massive in size I would take it downstairs to see if it was in fact something to do with a cheap display. It honestly wouldn't surprise me and is probably why I don't experience the same thing as some others, but also explains why I have read comments in other sections where ps5 and Series X players have stated they notice a significant difference in recoil adjusting the FoV to 105. So I'm not even going to debate this any longer because there are just too many things that can be involved giving me one experience and someone else a completely different experience and neither of us are wrong in what we are saying and for either of us to say the other is wrong is wrong itself. Had I been actually thinking I would have logged in on my wife's console before to see what it was like, but it completely slipped my mind.
Depending on the weapon. Yes it will change
That is a given regardless of platform. When you make a statement like you did it can lead one to believe that the recoil of a particular weapon changes.

You're right I don't understand that when I shoot my gun it will move in a direction that I don't want it too UNLESS I counter it with ever so slight pressure in the opposing direction that any 6 year old understands to do. I also haven't loaded in on my ps4 flew to a location, set my reticle to a specific point, emptied a magazine without countering recoil making note of where my reticle stopped. Then loaded in on my pc going to the same location and doing the same thing with both controller and kb/m at the default fov and 105 to discover the only difference is at 105 fov. No, I don't understand recoil at all.
