Thats so stupid. It sounds like Luke wants to remove anything that's just "hard" to balance. Well is a must have for most endgame content. Nova Warp was -blam!-ed by Bungie and has never been revisited, the 6 shooter golden gun doesn't have the utility that makes the other tree so good, Blade Barrage was nerfed and that impacted PvE heavily (meanwhile theres just better supers and skill trees for PvP) and the dawnblade super is inconsistent because you can hit someone and not kill but miss and kill and they never bothered trying to fix it, etc. They're being lazy. Literally all we ever wanted since we saw this horrible D2 skill tree system is what we had in D1. Does it matter that people will probably flock to one set of abilities and use the same thing as each other? No! Why? Because we have more FREEDOM that way. I could choose at any time to play differently, especially if endgame content becomes a little less oppressive and allows us to play the way we want rather than have 50 enemies in a room with insta kill weapons forcing us to use well of radiance, bubble, tether, etc. But nope, this way is easier for them because they literally have less to manage. -blam!- how we feel, -blam!- the feedback we've given for years regarding the lesser used skill trees and -blam!- giving players more freedom to play how we want rather than how bungie want. If they want the game to be linear, they should go back to making Halo-esque games instead, hell maybe that's what they are doing with the new IP they're clearly spending more time focusing on than Destiny. I mean the seasonal model isn't working even by their own admission yet here we are, STILL DOIN' IT. Holy shit this news finally broke me...
