Destiny 2 will die will it? This will kill Destiny 2? Like division did? Like anthem did? Like borderlands 3 did? Like countless other games did according to people on here?
It wouldn't kill the game. You might not like the idea is it, but it most definitely would not kill the game.

RockNotABoulderにより編集済み: 12/17/2020 9:34:01 PMFree to play Destiny is pretty ass. New Light is for trying to convince your friends to join in the suffering and grind shit with you, nothing more. Destiny becoming free to play didn't bring in a massive amount of players. The playbase is fine, and will remain that way for a long time. Getting rid of supers sucks ass, but at least get your facts straight.
Bruh that’s an opinion you got no numbers on that 🤦🏼♂️😂
WoW, this is the dumbest thing I have read today. Please show everyone how (you) can come up with numbers with a system that has a high turnover. It just like certain jobs, there will always be people coming and going 🙄
-
I can’t come up with that system, no one can. That’s why you’re point is so idiotic 😂! Like you can’t in anyway prove that the player base “almost died.” That’s why that comment was so goofy 😂🤪
😂 What do you think the new light system is genius 😔
-
... for allowing incoming players to get caught up and not have to play like 10 campaign storylines? 🤦🏼♂️💁🏼♂️
An option to play or not with no financial ties. But, if you actually read what was actually being said, we wouldn't be having this conversation. You only took the word dead and ran with it 😔
-
Bruh how does a “means to play without financial ties” prove that they “almost lost their player base”? Many games are using more and more of this concept, it’s not unique to Destiny. I would love to see how you attempt to explain how the “new light system” = almost dying player base

Maybe you should take a step back and stop trying to twist words around you to create your own scenario. It's not helping you one bit but showing everyone how lost you actually are. Learn to look at the overall in any given situation. That's a good start for you that might actually help you 👍

Yosemite Samにより編集済み: 12/17/2020 11:19:10 PM
You said they killed it, but it isn't dead, so which is it?
Try looking past the default response you gave and look at the game. It doesn't... Have a foundation. No identity. Power/progression means nothing. The loot system is a mess. The economy is a mess that the game is bloated. No sense of direction. No replayable content. Good stats are very far and few in-between. Only 1 destination relevant out of the entire game. The grind was tripled with barely any new loot added with the sunsetting. As a game moving forward improving on existing content, the game is dead. The amount in player base means absolutely nothing at all when it comes to creating a quality type of\ game that Destiny is not. Just like COD that is not a quality type of game and never will be, but it has a player base.

tonycawleyにより編集済み: 12/17/2020 9:08:47 PMAll of what you're saying is utterly irrelevant to this discussion. Whether I agree or disagree with those points is irrelevant. You're saying the game is dead. It is not. That is all I'm saying.

You're saying the game is dead. It is not. That is all I'm saying.
Actually, it's not irrelevant because if you actually paid attention to the game and what the director said. It's actually facts that the game is dead in terms of creating a game that has all of what I said that Destiny does not. Luke Smith literally said that there will never be a Forsaken expansion in the future, basically saying what they have shown this last year or so is the best they got. You keep wanting to use the player base and that's flawed logic to say the game isn't dead and Luke Smith told you they don't have what it takes to create a game anymore. It can't get any more clear than that...
-
Again. That's all irrelevant. The game is not dead. The game is still going. It is not dead. That cannot be argued against. Destiny 2 is not dead. You can keep coming out with all this irrelevant nonsense all you want, but the fact remains, the game is not dead. Whilst it is still being developed for and while it still has a healthy player base, it isn't dead.

We've all said for years that the only thing that will kill Destiny (or Destiny 2) is Bungie. If they go ahead with this change then it may or may not kill D2. I can't see the future so I can't say with any certainty what the result would be. The only thing I can most definitely say is that from the information I have seen so far it seems like a bad idea.
