With transmog coming for armor in destiny 2 I would like to ask Bungie to see if it is possible for them to do a similar thing with the weapons. I am sure that some people liked the way a certain weapon looked over others, but either never got a good roll or it didn't have a good set of perks to make it usable. My idea would be to only give weapons the ability to change its appearance with-in its archetype for example let my have my Friction Fire smg look like an Antiope-D. I don't see how that would change anything other than having to make sure you use the right set of animations for the ornament and not the base weapon so you don't end up using the veist reload animation on non-veist weapons. If they could and it would be easy to implement I would like to see you being able to use any smg ornament on any smg, but I can understand if with the way the fire rate interacts with it or whatever that it might not be able to be done. Thoughts? I would like to hear anyone's ideas or suggestions in regards to this. Good evening guardians, and thank you for taking the time to read this.
