I don't know what changed but now gambit is awful (yeah, even more than before), with three and four stacks dropping 3 knights at the time in the beginning of the match. Spawning a primeval is next to impossible against them. What ever happened to letting us play the modes we want?
My friends and I all hate gambit and I'm not going to lfg just to complete these stupid bounties. It just makes me sad. I just want the pinnacle and to unlock the armor without needing to shut off my xbox to protect my mood.
Point is, make a solo playlist or use sbmm please!
Ps: I don't know why I bother writing this down anyway. I never get a response from Bungie. Just people who probably like crapping all over others in the game telling me I'm wrong, to gyt gud, to quit, or just flat out calling me out as the awful player I must be to have these problems...many parts of the game just aren't fun anymore and I keep waiting for it to get better for some reason...

7 通の返信A lot of Gambit and even Crucible would or I should say could be better if people would use game/ team chat in lfg teams, even strikes would be better. A lot (most always) I’m the only one on a mic, many players complain about random players not knowing what to do. Many try to figure it out but with no way to communicate it normally a free for all. I like to play Control mostly as a random matchmake and again I’m the only one on a mic. I like Gambit it too would be a lot more interesting if more people would bother to mic up and help direct traffic just my opinion is all .

I can't help but agree with you on this one. Like a few others who commented in this thread, I really enjoyed the original gambit and prime. I even saw the Dredgen title as the first one I really wanted to obtain. Something in this iteration just feels off, like the reason I used to love logging in to play some gambit has subsided. One of the biggest issues I have is that it's way too easy to melt the primaeval in this version of gambit. These guys can go down in 20 seconds if the team knows what they are doing. This often means that if a team got a bad run on the first phase (50-60 motes) it's all but impossible to catch back up. I get that perhaps this iteration is designed to lower the skill or 'time' barrier to new players, but it feels like those who committed to Gambit and found a lot of love for it originally have lost something along the way.

I used to actually enjoy the previous versions of gambit, especially prime. They lasted longer and were more competitive. This version is basically over as soon as it starts. There is nothing fun about it and as soon as I reach max light I will no longer be playing it.

I have played all versions of Gambit... I don't see this version, current, as that different in total. The difference is players that just don't know what or how to do things. This current version of Gambit requires not speed, but tactical awareness. It is a different skill set from core PVE and very different from PVP in D2. But... it is very accessible to all players with a bit of time and effort. UNLIKE PVP is what is just a speed run on steroids. If you think you can run and gun in Gambit... it will be difficult.

2 通の返信Honestly, as someone who once quite enjoyed gambit I can't help but hate it now. The driving factor, the meatball. The secondary factor, the unbalanced blockers. Large blockers are the only ones worth sending because they have too much health to kill solo while the others have next to none. The third factor.... the god damn meatball.

1 返信In all fairness, you can literally solo carry games of gambit using a warlock with Verity's Brow and Riskrunner.... You can clear entire sides of the map in under 10 seconds and put your team so far ahead in motes that you just overwhelm the enemy team with defenders. Also, NEVER BANK FIRST UNLESS YOU CAN GET AN INVADE PORTAL STRAIGHT AWAY!

2 通の返信I dunno - I've already reset my rank so I just like it. I do. People who complain about the game might want to consider --- other games?

mercuryserverにより編集済み: 12/14/2020 9:01:57 AMDid anybody notice that by the time you got your Pinnacle, you have like 30-40% on that weekly bounty that is about Supers? This bounty needs to adapt to the changes they made imo. Although the rounds are short, which is good, does anybody really like all those bullet sponges? One of the reason why, although I liked Gamibt Prime, I sometimes played the normal mode. This is yet another element where they took away the feeling to be a Champ for a few seconds. I want to reign over 20 red bar enemies and viciously kill them with my Super. I do not want to hope to get at least the 2-3 majors down, before the rest of the pack destroys me as soon as the Super ends lol. Season of the Weak imo.

Anyone of us has unique skills and gambit is about pure role team work[/quote] I suck a pve but I'm good at pvp hence whenever I'm forced to play gambit I invade, just find you role or what you're really good at and center your bounties to it

I’m all for freelance modes now. Also I’m not a fan of the newer gambit. It’s better than regular gambit, but feels worse than the Prime. The lack of the captain is a plus, but it feels like teams are invading far more frequently and I preferred the Prime Evil phase in prime more.

5 通の返信Love seeing people run out of things to complain about and start complaining about gambit. No. One. Cares. About. Gambit. Complain about something that people care about like sunsetting or loot.

4 通の返信MysticTR1により編集済み: 12/13/2020 4:27:44 PMI think its better, I have to do 3 rounds for a pinnacle. Win or lose I don’t care. How can you take gambit seriously when a guy can invade and get 12 kills without getting pulled out. https://youtu.be/b_hH2l1CBbo

wolbeasにより編集済み: 12/14/2020 7:11:51 AMI love the fact that most people who says they like gambit adds that because games are quicker which translates they just wanna get the hell out of there once bounties and pinnacle are done. Oh the irony
