Does this happen so often it needs to be changed though?
Of the time I spent just screwing around with the global reach warmind cells I found people not even knowing they were there in the first place unless it spawned right in front of them.
Is this regarding the builds where it lingers on the ground to apply a buff or debuff?
If so I think just some visual indication it's doing something would help.
Like if it makes enemies take increased damage it shows bullets over them.
Or if you take reduced damage while near one the cell has like a shield symbol over it.
Otherwise...not really sure what they can do with it, because it's an explosive that offers buffs which gives more incentive to shoot it than to keep it around...even if the buffs are good.
Plus it's a glowing orange sphere that drags your eyes to it and seduces your guns.

Its only an issue with Void and Arch based Warmind Cell Builds. Voids apply buffs/debuffs...so they need to be left on the ground and not destroyed to gain maxiumum effectiveness. Arcs aren't really used all that often beause most of the abilities are based on the person having to PICK UP the WMC in order to get the full benefit from it. So it tends only to be useful in REALLY aggressive play styles. Which becomes more and more suicidal the deeper you go into the end-game. But the problem is if you hve multiple players running WMC builds you don't know who's runnign what....and which WMC is doing what. ...and the mroe diifficult the content, the more likely that person is going to be runnign a Solar build....and the least damage you'll do the to fireteam effort by assuming that it is a Solar build. IOW, you do more less harm to the team by assuming it is a Solar cell when it issn't....than you do the team by assuming its a Void cell...and it isn't. Since more benefit is done for the team by killing enemies with damage than by debuffing them. A dead enemy (minus the taken Hobgoblins) can't harm you. But debuffed enemies can still kill you.

You've been lucky. In matchmade content, its practically a given. People assume you're running a Solar build...because that's what most people do....and so they destroy the Cells. I stopped runnign void builds in MM content, because the Cells never hang around long enough to make the buffs and debuffs they apply worthwhile. So I just lean into the assumption , and just run with solar builds...rather than trying to fight the Hive Mind on this.
