Just make sure to; A. Always respect the DM’s rules. B. Don’t god mod. C. Don’t steal other people’s ideas. Speaker wrote a good “RP Commandments” list a while back. I’d recommend going to him and asking for a link.

Some folks, the DMs or Dungeon Master or whatever you prefer to call the ones running the events, occasionally have special rules. They usually post them in a spoiler somewhere in the post. Some people use dice like in D&D, some just use a 20 sided die, and some don't use either and just free form it.

A character is required for Rps. And you're not supposed to contradict other people's special lore stuff.
