Best Videogame scores

Thought we should discuss which games/franchises give you major eargasms. I often find music is overlooked in games, especially older ones given the constraints of the technology... but even some old games had absolutely stunning scores. In no particular order, here are my favourites... 1. Final Fantasy Whilst I havent played any of the newer titles, this franchise has come up with some incredible music, from Aeris' Theme to the Orchestral Majesty of One Winged Angel, through to some of the wistful lullabies in FFs VIII and IX, and the bittersweet, foreshadowing score of X. 2. The Elder Scrolls TES has been turning out majestic themes and music long before Skyrim. Morrowind and Oblivion certainly gained an extra dimension of epicness from Jeremy Soule's magnificent compositions 3. Warframe This may surprise a few folks... but go listen to "We All Lift Together" and "This Is What You Are" and get back to me. Sorely underrated game in many aspects, mainly because the best stuff is behind a tedious journey across the solar system. The music alone is worth it though 😁 4. Destiny Love it or hate it, the one constant in this franchise has been the incredible score. Salvatori has done a fine job following on from Marty O'Donnell, those were big shoes to fill and he should be applauded for filling them as well as he has. 5. Pokemon Again, love it or hate it, this franchise has spawned some disgustingly infectious music. I've certainly caught myself absent-mindedly whistling a few bits and pieces from the games I've played. Even Sword & Shield, which have split opinion pretty heavily... most folks seem to agree that the music was spot on.
