The game is seasonal. The content will be shallower due to every 8 weeks there will be a new grind. As long as this approach is at play and being put on to a 3 year old game... it will not go back to meaningful content. I am fine with sun setting. It is not like we really lost anything for pve and you can use your favorite weapons from all of d2 in normal PvP. Destiny is about exotics(should be more than it really is).. so now that things have changed, we have seen exotics take over in the list of most used weapons. There is no real end game anymore. If you have friends and or intend to raid, that is really all the game is... max power. Trials? Same thing so that you are not at an disadvantage. They may add strikes from a season... but I do not see that happening due to that would be free content to anyone that did not pay for a season. No crazy good weapons can come from the seasons... because then it would be the negative attack from those crying “pay to win”. The game is mainly something to do and the memories you make with friends while you are doing something. I enjoyed the dlc.. I got my “value” per play time. The season is *insert John Travolta confused gif* Is what it is. Bungies main focus is on the other ips they are working on and the contract attached to one of those games. So destiny is now just a dog chasing its tail basically.

  • Its not that I want to tear the game apart and reconstruct it from the ground up. Destiny will always have problems. But the solutions I have are just to make it a bit better to play. Its unfortunate that so many Destiny players have just given up and accepted it. I understand it though.

  • It is not that.. It is greed. The game is addictive as can be... per the engine... But the focus on creating a seasonal replay loop for a financial price is the issue. Bungie will not stop asking for money. They think your time is valuable. As in, you play, you pay. Add this approach to the HUGE fear to commit to a direction and they are trying to appeal to a lot of consumers. All bungie would have to do is connect all the dots to the counter game-play approach and it would open this game up tenfold. Get rid of personal bounties. Create chases for each play list. Make the content depend on the three or six players per the activities like strikes, PvP, raids, etc... this would stop the op boss that stomps every single encounter. A basic lay out of a strike path.. snipers that suppress subclasses. Hordes of ads that need to be controlled. Bosses that separate players etc. Like an ogre that is not wiping the team, but pounding the ground to make it harder for the teams sniper to take out the suppressing snipers that are perched far away. Sniper player needs ad handler so that player stunning the ogre allow the sniper to get rid of the suppression’s. Endless descriptions but the more bungie would focus on US, the more a player gets connected to their roll. Ie I am a solar titan main, or a void hunter etc.. They do not need to go crazy hard either. At the beginning of a content drop, yes it is still very hard per our power levels.. but as we put the time in.. we should do a strike or nightfall with better ease and a way to help lower powered players understand the mechanics. This, in return, creates a drive in said players to grind for the exotics, the armor, etc to be as powerful/smart. They should be fighting us, our load outs, and our arsenal. Iq’s get used, get taught, and are pitted against each other. This is called “content”. For your average player that tunes into streamers looking for direction, for those that want to figure it out on their own etc. Lore masters should have a spot in the “tower”, a community board in the tower so that players can post their specific needs then go play as they wait for an answer. Vendors should have basic weapons but blue prints that you would have to do a series of things to make weapons exactly how you want them per your desired play style. Factions that mean something instead of just joining with all 3 characters. One faction join. Each faction represents one of the three playlists. PvP, strikes, raids. If a player wants to swap factions, it should be a quest(test) line in said areas of the game. All of this can be pieced together, give the game a sense of direction, and remove the boredom. Bungie knows how to do everything else at a fantastic level. Just needs a commuted direction.
