Before the sniper nerfs that came with beyond light snipers had a 12% usage rate and shotguns had a 11% usage rate. I agree with the sniper all assist nerf, however I think if their forgiveness has been nerfed so too should the eng that is flinch be reduced as well, however that's an issue for another day. Now in beyond light snipers have around a 9.5% usage rate and shotguns have skyrocketed to a 20% usage rate. Now because of the overuse of shotguns we should have a shotgun nerf. Snipers feel balanced for the most part other than flinch, while shotguns have tons of forgiveness, handling, range etc. Bungie should nerf shotguns because they push fusions out of the meta because shotguns do everything they can do but better ans faster. We should make it so you have less range with a shotgun and far less handling as to make it so you have to commit to your shotgun or your primary without whipping it out mid-duel of you're losing. Shotguns are far too easy and forgiving to use and need ro be toned down to allow fusions to shine and allow for better balancing.

1 返信Take off QuickDraw. That’s all they need. Range is fine and shotguns will always have higher usage than any other specials as they have a low skill floor and can be used offensively as well as defensively plus can compliment most primary weapons. If snipers are too powerful then the pace of the game and general enjoyment declines plus being able to OHKO from anywhere on the map is the lowest risk / highest reward of any weapon. Usage does not always determine power and is not the only data to consider when looking at balance.

The only issue with shotguns is they can roll with Quickdraw... And shooting while sliding exists... The range is fine, and beyond what I mentioned above, it's an issue with Fusions being hilariously underpowered bar Bastion and occasionally Telesto. You have summoned me.

Problem solved.

3 通の返信No we don't. We learned in D1 how to fight shotgun users. Now you will have to learn to fight against them. STOP.. Use your head. Don't be the one who runs into a situation gets killed then respawns only to run back in time and time again (seen this too often). THINK.. what are the shotguns strengths and weaknesses. Do not run at opponents. If someone runs at you back off.... keep that distance. Do not run into CQB areas when you know someone is camping in there. So basics.... Keep a way to back off available. If needed break off to stop them getting close and engage when you do have space. Bypass, bait them out or use area effect weapons to shift campers out of CQB areas. Adapt..... Improvise..... Overcome.

Rather than specifically merging shotguns, the special ammo economy needs looked at. Self sustaining special weapons should not be a thing. In a way, all weapons need looked at, so that it doesn’t feel like I just choose a different skin for my bullet hose

You know at one point or another I feel like everyone gets upset about shotguns and/or aping lol. My self included. I play PS4 for whatever that's worth. Obviously Bungie has the final word, but constructively, what do you guys think about this: What tends to tick me off the most is when I die by shotguns via mid-air. There are many distances in which I die some close some far. I also know there are certain factors at play such as the momentum that brings you back on the ground, general positioning, and the RNG pellet spread. I for one can also admit when I make a dumb play or get outplayed. Don't want it to sound like I'm just complaining.... But I can't help to think that from my experience shot guns lethality does not change in the air. I believe maybe it should, slightly, nothing too crazy. I wouldn't be able to tell what needs to be done. I don't how pellet spread correlates with mid air accuracy or with Icarus Grip for that matter, but I am interested to see how a small nerf to in air effectiveness would change the shot gun game. Those are just my thoughts. Either way it's all good for me. I'm halfway decent at crucible lol.

Shotguns never received the proper nerfs which is removing Quickdraw as a possible perk roll as well as sliding and shooting (which frankly shouldn't exist one any of the weapons if you ask me). There would have to be compensation if they received such nerfs though, likely to range.

4 通の返信The problem shotgun thankfully will be sunset next season, it was a mistake to bring shot package back in a sandbox where the in air accuracy and slide penalty doesn't exist as much as it did in D2. Its such an essy to use gun it makes Bastion look hard. I love Felwinter's Lie, but this sandbox and community meta mentality soils it. No shotty should compete with blody Chaperone for range lol.
