It's smoke and mirrors. The idea of a good system, blatantly not implemented. Each stasis class has 1 mele, one version of the super, and all share ability regen effects....which I am inclined to think is meant as a bandaid to mask all Stasis abilities having much larger cooldowns.
The only reason they feel different are the aspects... which are so blatantly unbalanced in terms of the aspects slots they offer... that it terrifies me into thinking Bungie has no intention of releasing more any time soon. (The best of the Warlock Aspects, has 3! fragment slots, on top of having the best power of any aspect, what on earth would make anyone change off it).
So, just to summarize, how can Stasis be the next step forward for classes if we only get the equivalent of one node of abilities for it?
Hey, maybe I'll be wrong, I want to be wrong... but so far the leaks people have found have been spot on... and there are no more FRAGMENTS, let alone aspects in those leaks... and that's not good. Even if you guys release more next season it'll be to late, this is not the way to go about this bungie.

5 通の返信I agree 100% they simply made unlocking a grind. Otherwise they could have just got rid of the 2 or 3 pre fab classes and just went to the column and row singular node choices they had in D1. This is just a way to get you into the playlists and the killer that content is gutted...so there is an additionally tediousness to the grind. I'm not in awe or impressed with any of the deliverables, activities or game. The game remains a lesser version of D1. And I guess that's good enough. Bungie. Coasting on good enough.

2 通の返信there will be more aspects, and I'm hoping they do the same overhaul on the light subclasses as well. bungie even said that there will be more to stasis, just isn't in the game yet. imo, I'm liking what I see so far, stasis for me on warlock is pretty op in pve.

2 通の返信PhantomBrownにより編集済み: 12/2/2020 4:21:58 PMThis is where it starts dude, cmon. How can you not see that? At any time they could add any of the stuff you want. That's what makes this system so much better than the way the light classes are.

Both aspects offer no meaningful benefits to my subclass apart from getting 3 fragment slots (1 less than the warlock) sounds totally balanced to me. Even better, both aspects are worthless. I dont think ive ever slid into an enemry/crystal to make use of the 1st aspect you got. and I certainly dont like the 2nd aspect as this FORCES you to run default nade as this is the ONLY way to create tectonic harvest drops lol. so much for customising my subclass....... yh sure not only do I HAVE to run a default nade setup, this means I HAVE to run specific fragments to make use of the crystal nade for grenade ability regen which if im being honest I'de rather run Heart of Inmost light instead of that PoS as it offers a dmg bonus and quicker regen lol

29 通の返信
So, just to summarize, how can Stasis be the next step forward for classes if we only get the equivalent of one node of abilities for it?
Because you can mix and match them in ways that are not possible in the current system....and you're characterization is off the mark. The Shadebinder warlock has one melee attack, three grenades, a rift ablitit and a half dozen subclass mods. Four of which can be equipped at any time....and can be mixed-and-matched in any combination. Revenent also has two grenades, a ranged melee, a dodge ability that slows enemies...and can equip two subclass mods. Again, they can be mixed and matched in any way you want. whereas with the Light abilities you get a FIXED set of abilities (Aspect) that you are locked into...and the only things you can change are your grenade. Your jump...and what your class abilities does. That's it.

3 通の返信We have only one stasis attunement in the sense that the super itself doesn't change. While I can change my voidwarlock novabomb into a voidwalker roaming super. I can change my roaming arc warlock into a dragonball z character, i can change a golden gun into thousand knive, i can change a striker titan into a one-(wo)man rocket! I can't do anything similar with stasis. The super remains always the same. Warlock roaming, hunter non-roaming, titan roaming.

2 通の返信Davie4により編集済み: 12/1/2020 8:59:50 PMCustomization drops off a cliff depending on which class you are. Game should have had at minimum 3-4 aspects per class. Current setup doesn’t justify having a UI that makes you equip them like you have a choice on what it is. As of right now quest completion shoulda just unlocked the aspect in the slot without user intervention. Fragments are only real choice in the matter right now and all classes share those. Stasis is good don’t get me wrong, but it feels like they halfway implemented it in current state, because why else would there only be 2 aspects. This is not a matter of being picky, but facts to UI design flaw or after the fact decision to cut content. If there are 2 slots and only 2 things that fill those slots then you don’t make the UI make the illusion there’s more choices than there are. This flaw and the fact that more is shared between classes than not just makes this feel like a very weak change even if it is a positive one. People were already going into this expansion ultra salty about vaulting and sunsetting, but I can’t give them too many props on significant improvement to anything as most of it seems like a few baby steps while the shadow of the loot sunset and planet vaulting left many feeling raw and angry about it. I find the vaulting merit to be positive due to loading time increases personally, but many hate it. Sunsetting made a lot of this worse since bungie didn’t go the extra expected step and refresh loot on existing planets they sunset everything on. The expansion felt like they focused all their efforts in one place people burn through quickly while not really looking at bigger picture that this is an mmo and that requires an actual “world” that has value aside from the new place in the world. This problem is magnified when you look at the fact the new expansion, fragments, season all send people to strike playlists, but that begs the question of where’s the strike loot? The strike armor is a weekly reward and isn’t even a strike drop so what’s the point of strikes or even other planets that didn’t get vaulted existing if there’s no new reason to do them? A quest that sends you to them isn’t a valid new reason because you gain nothing aside from rewards of that quest, which means once the quests are done then so is the game. D1 didn’t have this loot deprivation problem. Scrap the weapon frame system and bring some innovation to the table like we had back in d1 for guns. All legendaries in the game shouldn’t be running off same frames we have had since launch because that takes an already restricted archetype and further restricts it to what the frame is. This means every gun that exists in the game is functionally a clone of all that game before it with that frame, but it has new paint and perks. I remember getting something new in d1 and trying it because it seemed like it had cool perks and could be good, but d2 just makes me look at frame and say nah those suck and ignore perks and everything else about it.
