My monkey brain has come up with the most brilliant tactic to convincing myself I feel good. I’m very evenly balanced in my emotions, and generally pretty peppy, but on the rare occasions I get stressed out or unmotivated, it’s quite difficult to get over it, and usually I wait for the next day reset. Idk how that works out but I hate having terrible days that I refuse to turn around because I rely on the reset, so I made this up.
Put a handful of Hershey’s kisses or whatever small treat you like in a (preferably discreet) box in your room. When you are at the highest you can possibly be, on a phuckin roll, ready to fistfight a bear, eat one. When you wake up with a killer headache and an inability to enjoy your hobbies or get anything done, eat one. Couldn’t for the life in me explain how it works but it does. It’s a reset button that convinces me to GO. Wondered if this might work for anyone else so I’m just dumping it here. The temptation to eat them regardless of the method is very much present, which is why I stuck mine on a shelf

Could be association. If you’re usually super happy & peppy, then you’d usually be eating one when you’re in a really good mood. Then, your brain stuff associates eating the chocolate with being in a good mood. That’s my guess anyway!

1 返信If I’m feeling that shitty I may just eat the whole box of them and then feel bad about it... That’s a good idea though I should try it out.
