Because it creates the illusion that Bungie/Luke smith cares about the wants and needs of the community. They more than proved they could care less what the community thinks back in D1!!!!!!

This community is just a player community.. You want twitter and reddit or be a streamer if you want your voice heard.

welcome to bungie, they dont care about older players who still paid for original destiny 2, mercury and mars or any other player for that matter because they just remove 90% of content and kill 99% or lore in one fell swoop

Because the Community Forum used to be cool before it basically became storytime. Wasn't as hectic and the web team hanged around in there frequently

So they can get all of their awards for community of the year, while never actually caring about said community.

Keep reading the forums for a couple of weeks. You'll understand why no-one wants to try and gather any feedback from here. And I don't fault Bungie for it at all lol it's a cesspool. But it has it's charms, it's our cesspool.

Just think about the mess with the consoles controller, jumping Delay and relay, useless doble press delay option 2->5 maximum should be option 1... Intermittent sound... Ammo economy where too often we are fighting without ammo to call that a challenge, Server Disconnected, netcode error and creative name for all of them - blaming user internet or side only, reload press delay, unresponsive controller when more than 2 are involved in any activity, floating dead enemies like cabals dregs - something supposed to be fixed - only show the poor backup system and patch application and mediocre copy and paste of subroutines, Sparrow commands in Europa are inconsistent. We are like beta tester. The intermittent sound cut is very annoying and cause screen freeze. The sound or game is not compatible with Dolby Atmos(emulation) creating another problem. They should pay us to test the game. Also hire those in YouTube showing programmers errors, too powerful weapon, etc. ; and do the adjustment before the gold or final version. They don't care.

Maybe you underestimate the volume of feedback. Or maybe some of the feedback is crap.

Because you have post like “hunters should be invulnerable while dodging” or bring back SelfRes and other game breaking suggestions from ppl.

They care about the perspectives of people who have large followings: from a developmental standpoint that isn't a bad marketing tactic You can't please everyone: So as a business you must appease the majority to earn profit. Most who use this Forum dont always offer Constructive Criticism and instead are having emotional tantrums or simply being toxic. They use Reddit or Twitch: Even the heads of their community managing team: I assume they get better feedback than here.

During the days of halo these forums actually meant something.

The forum is a bad place to get feedback.

Mainly the forums are for the players, not the developers. We are just lucky they ignore us as much as they do.

Cause most of it is emotionally changed nonsense on this forum....useless!

Because 1- some people tent to take their complaints too far on the forums 2-apart from a few rules that will get you banned within hours, the Bungie forums aren't moderated, or more accurately mods don't do the full scope of their responsibility which causes the forums to be mayhem with 10s of topics about the same issue. 3-bungie doesn't have a proper feedback forum where the issues marked with their status such (not an issue, investigating, known issue etc) 4-the community managers are always on reddit or Twitter therefore they only interact with their own forums scarcely. 5-Bungie has this usual policy not to talk about an issue to push it under rug, let it forgotten, or make people tired of it.

Because: 1. Much of it is people simply venting their rage at Bungie for not giving them what they personally want, and isn't about anything fixable. 2. Much of it is people demanding that Bungie make Destiny into a kind of game that Bungie isn't interested in making. Bungie is a business....and they are not our personal servants. 3. Many of the complaints are coming from the same people who hang around here and complain year, after year, after year. Eitehr refusing to stop playing the game (and thus teaching Bungie that its okay to ignore them), or they DO leave the game, and come back here and intentionally stir the pot. Not because they want the game to get better, but because they enjoy watching the chaos they can create with their behavior.

This place is kind if like a honeypot for would be hackers, to waste your time and energy. It's here to be observed but ultimately ignored.
