Exotic idea compendium V1

Exotic/Ritual/Special perks, mods, weapons, and armor ideas by yours truly: WhiteWolfHG I have once heard somewhere, by someone, that making an exotic weapon is difficult. I would agree but potentially not for the reasons people would think. because of that and a few other reasons, I have decided to create a list, or compendium with a short summery of ideas I have come up with and would like to potentially see in D2. aside from said reasons above, I need a job and maybe my shot in the dark with a bunch of cool ideas will turn some heads from bungie (doubt it but hell crazier things have happened) Bungie may use these ideas in anyway they wish and I would be happy to see them implemented. and so we begin. Fallen related ideas: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dreg’s Promise Now, I am fully aware this gun previously existed, however it was received very awfully. My take on the gun is very different however, with the addition of mithrax the light kell. Prolonged fire against one target, body shots decreasing the shots required, causes a sheathed marauder vandal from the house of light to appear and to attack the target currently being shot by and previously shot by dreg’s promise. After a certain amount of time (or 2 solid hits in pvp) the vandal disappears. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking for scraps Killing an enemy has a chance for them to drop a scrap of armor, collecting enough of them will heal you ********************************************************************************************************* Vex originated ideas: Time’s nemesis This odd vex side-arm creates immensely complex wormholes that seemingly teleport the user around. After killing a target, the gun creates special energy, in this state, holds reload to prime the weapon's unique mode, in this state, your next shot teleports you to the target, but consumes the entire magazine depending on distance but increases reload speed. Alternatively, prime the weapon to mark a spot, after marking a spot your next kill with this weapon teleports you back to that spot. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Making Time A vex perk for either a raid or a ritual weapon, that randomly after firing, the weapon may return ammo to reserves, similar to mulligan but after EVERY shot fired. Primaries, receive this into the mag instead. ********************************************************************************************************* Cabal originated ideas: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cayde’s wonder A single shot heavy grenade launcher, that instead of explodes, summons a resilient flame turret to aid the guardian & shooting the turret with arc weaponry increases its rate of fire ********************************************************************************************************* Hive originated ideas: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A trace rifle i currently dub “the ogre’s eye” A void trace rifle that regenerates ammo for prolonged precision shot, additionally, every so often the next bullet deals increased damage, as if to replicated the “ogre eye beam” ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pestilence a Special grenade launcher This unique kinetic grenade launcher fires unique hive worms that burrow into a target slowly killing the target. After the target dies with the damage ticking, a friendly thrall is spawned from its corpse ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Horror a kinetic trace rifle This unique kinetic trace rifle fires a deadly hive laser that applies a stacking poison/corruption to enemies. ********************************************************************************************************* Taken originated ideas: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ascendant grasps (warlock exotic) Change your melee into a special corrupting melee that after killing a target, corrupts them into a taken variant that aids the guardian. ********************************************************************************************************* Natural or non-catered ideas ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Royal & The Servile A combination set weapons, intended to be used by 2 separate people, and this is emphasized by making both weapons exotic, or making both kinetic/energy. Servile, a moderately damaging scout rifle marks targets with a debuff (stacking as to prevent abuse in raids) that increases Royal’s damage output by a very large amount (scout rifle -> sniper) as a final note, while i specify scout rifles, these guns don't necessarily have to be scout rifles. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Revenge An auto rifle that stores damage dealt to you up to a certain charge (these charges do not go away) and killing targets with the gun lightly damage the guardian; hold reload to empower Revenge mode, where the charges are consumed each shot and deal increased damage, kills restore health. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dredgen’s butter-knife This exotic kinetic sword (dagger) is a light weight dagger that empowers melee and a heavy attack activates a charged melee (such as grant defensive strike while it is charged on a titan, or smoke bomb like khepri's sting) while holding block mildly increased strength/melee regen time. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Atlas’ strength An incredibly unique, lightweight machine gun that takes up the kinetic slot (but still uses heavy ammo) and grants “atlas’ persistence” after firing for a short while, granting increased stability, accuracy, and aim assist. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dragon's breath Same thing as d1 but maybe in the energy category similar to “Atlas’ strength” ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mimic A grenade launcher that launches a mimic of the grenade currently equipped, additionally, kills with this weapon grant a small amount of grenade energy. ********************************************************************************************************* This concludes my current ideas I have come up with. I have created some concept art, though not a lot as I am no artist.

  • Most of this needs tweaking, i like dregs promise i think the idea of minions would be pretty fun. These need tweaking in the way they do damage, you can't have a teleporting gun because of abuse and also pvp, same with most of these weapons they just don't make much sense. We already have 2-3 void trace rifles we don't need more of that, mimic has promise though.
