My greatest enjoyment in playing games is experiencing them for myself.
Do you want people to play your game or do you want to just tell them what happens? I'd much rather experience it myself than have a crude summary thrown in my face when I load into an area. Unfortunately I wasn't among the 6 people who accomplished the first raid completion but that doesn't mean I'm not going to do it for myself eventually.
Same thing with the Last Wish, and even more so with Cayde's death.
Let people experience the game and make their own memories instead of forcing your own, or other people's experiences upon us.

4 通の返信You made a point here, it should not be spoiled, indeed. however what about those ppl who don't want to raid or ones are just not ready yet. If world change tied to single player, then a big chunk of content will be blocked by the raid. In the end of the day, this is a online game, other players are also part of the game.

4 通の返信The problem is the eventually. Remember that every player is a character united under the same goal. If a team completes a new raid, the game progresses. This progress is not tied to your character or account, but to the game and the community. Just like puzzles like the sundial or seasonal lore content like the Almighty crashing down. Just because you don't experience it right away does not mean it doesn't happen. Besides, the progress unlocked more missions and weapons for everyone. It would be horrible if a raid clear was required to access these things.

Unfortunately it is a marketing tool... they show you some of the greatest things in their game to entice you to buy. Movie makers do this same thing to get you to watch their movie... sometimes you get through the movie and realize that you already saw all of the best parts in the trailer and are left with a feeling of dissatisfaction. But you paid for the content, right? Bingo, Marketing success

To be quite honest I 100% believe they want this game to be a show to a lot of people. They very much promote high end gameplay to the majority as something to watch not play. It’s kind of strange. . i. e. New raid, GM ordeals, etc.

3 通の返信This is Destiny. You’re meant to enjoy the game by watching promoted streamers do content you wish you could do.

2 通の返信ill skillzにより編集済み: 11/22/2020 4:03:37 PMHere have A very solid like and upvote. It is a MASSIVE spoiler and I couldn’t give a Donald about the first raids completion and having it ruin my experience. MASSIVE respect to ALL the teams who took part and co ordinated runs and completions, it is with the utmost respect I reply. However - I don’t want f-n spoilers either. I want to play the content and enjoy it in my own time. It’s like heading to the movies and people walking out telling you the end.... TAKE NOTE OF THIS POST BUNGIE << Not everyone wants spoilers or to know the end while at the start.

1 返信I agree on this. Forsaken should have kept the surprise and they could have said it was going to be an expansion about killing the Scorns breaking out of the prison and not mention Uldren and Cayde in it. It would have been more impactful and shocking Putting a trailer showing Cayde's death isn't bold. It's a bad marketing move and bad storytelling. That's how I take it.

2 通の返信I don't celebrate or get excited about other ppl playing a game. Good for them, I don't care. Bungie wants us too.. but I don't.

They can do it without spoiling the raid "Guardians have destroyed a space station above the deep stone crypt, putting a permanent end to house salvation and their dark plans." No spoilers, but managed to explain why the world changed post raid
-
1 返信As someone pointed out, then only people who play the raids would ever experience the whole game and even if raids were reworked to be super-duper accessible I doubt even half the player base would still do them. So they don't really have a choice but to explain what happened themselves after its happened. Would you rather have all of your other content for Beyond Light locked behind you as an individual clearing the raid? I can go on but I really shouldn't need to at this point. This isn't something that will change, can successfully change, nor should be in the first place anyways.

5 通の返信Sweet Lew 88により編集済み: 11/22/2020 6:11:59 PMNah, then only people that raid can play the whole game, only a very small percentage would ever do that. Doesn't make sense for them to do that. I mean for Forsaken, you want a majority of players to miss out on the dreaming city? Bungie needs to think about a majority of the community, not just the ones that raid.

I think I was more insulted by the fact that they threw away the potential plot-thread at the end of Forsaken and decided to RESKIN THE SAME BOSS FOR NO REASON OR CONTEXT AS A RAID BOSS. I swear everything in D2 past the original Red War campaign has been Luke Smith doing everything in his power to retcon Rise of Iron and try to "do it better" but fail horrifically. Every time they reference old content, it's Pre-Rise of Iron and they shafted the backstory of SIVA/Rasputin in the Felwinter's quest aka the coupon for a free overpowered shotgun. I was doing the raid for like 11 hours and decided it just wasn't worth it anymore because the team was pretty much disbanding in a few hours and we just weren't going to get Day1 Completion so it wasn't worth the Contest-Modifier struggle. But the Raid is basically the ideal example of everything wrong with Beyond Light and how Bungie is treating the game/playerbase. Increasingly convoluted with stupid 1-hit-kills/instant-wipe mechanics and paying for reskinned content. I've been so soured by this DLC. It feels like the launch of Destiny1 all over again.

3 通の返信cayde's death would have been so much more impactful if it wasn't in the trailers and all over the promotions. I remember playing the first mission just waiting for it to happen.

This is how I felt when Bungie spoiled Saint-14's resurrection. Do you understand how cool it would've been to experience that as a surprised? Community high right there kinda ruined because we already knew
