I just bought the season pass, not the expansion and it gives me just enough to do with my free time during the semester. I would just limiting to the season pass before quitting altogether, although Crucible sucks now thanks to Stasis

Glad to see someone else had the common sense to try before they buy. I quit last December after foolishly buying Shadowkeep to get about an extra 25% of the game that wasn't already free and then finding out the next DLC was rehashing/completing Curse of Osiris, itself a rip-off which killed off my D1 clan. I kept dipping in to the forums to see if it would be worth playing the Solstice event (nope) or the Halloween party (nope). Loaded up the game again last week to try out the game in its 'new' format to see if it's worth £43 to reconnect with some of my old muckers... nope. Don't get me wrong; I've enjoyed revisiting the Cosmodrome and checking out the new areas; Europa was a fun distraction for a while if I overlook the frozen Nessus/Mars aspect and the Glassway strike was good, albeit a rehash of 2 D1 strikes from Venus and The Black Garden. Side note: Europa map states "requires Beyond Light" to play this, but it's in the Vanguard strikes rotation! But, like you say.. sunsetting. Gear from the Moon (last year's paid expansion, ffs! ) being made irrelevant. Black Armoury gear ( literally the only DLC that had a decent supply of new stuff) rendered irrelevant. 'New' vendor armour (which is ALL THE SAME!) and now I find out that IB gear is going to be a reissue. I've already got full sets on all 3 characters, so why should I grind for it again? Even if it is free? Let alone pay extra for the 'privelege'. I'm constantly failing to understand how so many thousands of players are blindly forking out in advance for every dlc given Bungie's track record over the last 3 years. I'm intending to dip in this reset and level up some more with the weekly tasks and I'll see what Xur has at the weekend, but it's the life of a filthy casual for me!!

Bungie, the most overrated developer in the business. They make trash time and time again, yet people still throw money at them. Incredible really.

They showed just how greedy and disrespectful they are towards their fan base by charging what they are for this DLC. I'd rather spend my money on Valhalla or Spider-Man Miles Morales or even wait for cyberpunk or Far Cry And I play Destiny everyday But I will not support this expansion

When you do leave, make sure you leave this behind you. Delete everyone, uninstall, leave the forums. Don't come back. What people actually do is make a dear John letter stating how much they want to leave, be told to leave by others and then they turn around and justify why they want to stay. Be better than these cynics and move on with your life.

Warframe is where I went after destiny. It has its own problems, sure. But I’ve easily spent $400+ on destiny over the years and I have nothing to show for it. You spend $100 on warframe and you can deck yourself out like royalty. Much less distasteful considering the game is free. You’ll often hear people complain that warframe is grindy, but nothing in warframe even remotely compares to pinnacle or exotic quests. My two cents.

Don't quit, just park, like I've done. It occurred to me that Bungie add a sprinkling of new content, then pad it out with Old CORE CONTENT They started doing this more since the first forges were added. Trouble is, that old core content get EXTREMELY stale once you've played it a few hundred times lol Look at power lvl wall during the campaign, making you go back to the old core content to grind. Paddding, padding, padding It's cheap, it's an insult and it's a joke, for a £43 expansion THE COST OF A NEW AAA GAME £43 to play old content, think about that for a few minutes!

I cant wait until its my time to dump this game in the trash like those smarter than me have already done.

I could not agree more, i mean look at World of Warcraft. Not the best comparison because the graphics and assets aren't as next gen and high res but Blizzard literally has all the raids, dungeons, gear, destinations and everything else still available to everyone from [u][b]16 years[/b][/u] Also gearscore in wow is irrelevant since you can literally transmog every piece of armor AND weapons. When transmog hits Destiny, we will probably be able to transmog a few more armor pieces with silver and dust. Thats the reality. Blizzard takes their time and releases an EXPANSION every 2 years. Bungie takes away most of our stuff via nerfing, sunsetting, new armor systems, DCV, even retiring mods etc. etc. every year and adds some half baked rotten carrots to our hamster wheel in exchange. That should say everything about D2 right now.

So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Yeah man, I never complain but this sunsetting is out of control. I am a year one player and this just might be my last DLC. I hate to leave but seeing everything that I worked hard for is basically useless now. It seems like what I earn now will eventually be taken from me in the near future.
