Let’s agree that removing Heir Apparent is an EA level of disgusting attitude
Hey everyone. Just wanted to remind you that with hotfix 3.0.0.2 Bungie removed Heir Apparent exotic from the Kiosk. I want to explain why I have a problem with this. I don’t care about this exotic and having it in the collection, what the real issue is I think is their attitude towards players. Somewhere after a few days into BL they thought “Hey, wait a minute, we should remove Heir apparent from kiosk so we can add it later as a reward, players that already bought it can have it while who missed it will have no power to change anything so will have to play the new event!” and just hotfixed it out not even waiting for the weekly reset (some people waited for a cipher from Xūr). This makes me think... what’s next? They will reuse old sunset guns again? no more new events and only old content and rewards? they will remove another gun and add it next season? Most likely yes if we will keep accepting these scummy level decisions...

EDIT: I just want to clarify for a few people that I’m not being salty about the gun, I have all the weapons from raids, I was missing the symmetry and Devils Ruin so would still buy it last. I am actually concerned with Bungie’s attitude, they obviously planned on adding it to the kiosk (the price was set and the kiosk was teased as a big new thing in BL) and they decided to remove it without informing the community prior to the hotfix. Just ask yourself, would you be ok if they would start removing weapons to just add them later? I love the game, love what Bungie creates (the EA part was obviously a joke) and it’s because of this I wrote this post, we have to voice the problems until they become serious.

EDIT2: Look guys, stop telling people you earned it through the event. We get it, good for you, most of us did the whisper and outbreak for 4 weeks to get the catalyst done, most of us did the protocol level 7 bosses hit for worldline zero, most of us worked hard to get pinnacle and ritual weapons. But the problem is that because we have it we will not do this again, people that already have heir apparent will not play the new event if they re-release it. What’s the point if half of us have it already?! Read through again if you still think the gun is the problem. It’s certainly not about the gun, we already have a small loot pool and I guess sunsetting will be healthy in a long run, pulling weapons to reuse them later was definitely a bad choice and just shows us a lack of interest to make the new events fun.

P.S. Also, the whole FOMO thing is unhealthy, I see people stressing out because they didn’t get it on time. Please do not let this ruin your experience and ruin the game, it’s still fun, we still have a lot ahead of us, life is more than an exotic, I’ve honestly had more fun meeting people from this community and playing, than grinding for any gun. The fun we had raiding, pushing teammates over the edge with sparrows, playing competitive and just fooling around was worth more than any gun in this game. Some teammates that had a rough day or are just depressed would click back in place in like 30 minutes just because they had someone to talk with and play this game. At the end of the day, randoms from lfgs and clanmates made my day better more often than any gun or emblem I’ve earned.
Very well said guardian! Although I feel bad they removed it for reasons I cannot gather, I did manage to snag this on day 2 as it was on my radar for awhile. I missed out on it back in the games but didn't like the grind to get such a weapon. I DO love this game and have over 2k hrs just since Shadowkeep but I work 40 hrs a week and try to live a little. I absolutely love the idea behind the kiosk and be able to get the weapons I wasn't able to snag during past events and seasons. Although it may frustrate some of you I welcome it with open arms. The game isn't for just the fortunate that have the means to NOT work and stay home and play. Nor for folks that live in their parents basements and have all the time in the world. I've been playing games since 1980, so I know shit and yep that makes me an old -blam!-, or maybe I should say older... lol, I've learned a lot from folks I've met in this game and still have tons to learn. I'm absolute trash in crucible and get high anxiety when going in there to try to bang off quest related stuff. Hey that's on me, I get it. Although this game can frustrate the hell out of us it still manages to bring together a community of gamers, forges new friendships and gives us a purpose or as I'd like to put it "my job away from my job". I really like the points about the whisper and worldline zero , ouch. These were a couple of bangers...jeez...especially to get the catalysts. I mean C'mon Bungie...5 weeks ....seriously. Just to whip out my sword in an EP to go.....BINK!...hit done....see ya next Tuesday.....The decisions they make when coming up with stuff makes my eyes cross. Hopefully we can get some sort of balance for all players so we may be able to enjoy the game equally and stop the bashing and trashing and hate. Toxicity is a bigger problem. Love the post. Cheers,
