I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt because basically I had no choice but you have to find a way to reverse course. Not only was it bonheaded but the implementation as well as the thought that going forward anything new I get will also be useless is just depressing. I'm not a hater but I really don't see why I should keep playing if everything is just going to be taken away. Oh top of that you've hinted at this happening to exotics. That would be the straw that broke the camel's back. I've been playing since D1 day 1 and now I log on and there just a sense of loss that's depressing. You shouldn't feel that kind of feeling from a game. Just suck it up and fix this like 99% of the community is screaming at you to do.
Edit: This analogy seems even more apt a month later. Just one month.

2 通の返信1. I hope that neither you or any of your family develop cancer as you will find out how bad it really is. Those of us who have fought or lost loved ones to cancer know that using the term to describe something in a game is disgusting. 2. The community asked for a reason to grind for new items and not keep on using the same old god rolls from seasons ago.. we got one but everyone complains now that they can not use such and such which they gave been using for 2 years.

(Ultimatums are generally a bad plan. Especially if you can’t hit someone with something that will actually hurt them.) Oh and 99% of the community isn’t mad. 1.7 million people showed up to play pve yesterday. Even the broken Crucible got nearly 700k, and Gambit nearly 500k.

5 通の返信Is this your first mmo? Just curious. with the exception of elder scrolls online, this is the only other mmo I've ever played or even heard of that doesn't wipe the slate completely clean every single expansion. Do you have any idea how terrible it is to come into a game as a new or returning prayer when theres never really a fresh start? I played d1 for almost 3k hours, and that's not even counting tower and orbit. I always welcomed anything even resembling a fresh start, because it allowed me to play the game again. When I literally just keep the same gear from xpac to xpac just infusing, theres nothing to do

2 通の返信A cancer? Really? I still don't get why people are so anti retiring weapons and gear. Do you just want no looter in your shooter? For the love a pete, THINK people! The game dies if gear is not retired. If weapons/gear aren't retired, then people keep using the same stuff, if people keep using the same stuff there's no point in Bungie spending resources to make more stuff that won't get used. If bungie stops giving out loot what incentive is there to do any new activity they might add to the game?

19 通の返信Stop whining. Sunsetting does not affect the vast, vast majority of the player base as much as you seem to believe. I lost my helmet, and got a new one. That’s it. We have nearly a year to recycle through gear. You seriously can’t find new gear in a year? It really isn’t that hard. If sunsetting hurts you this much you just crutched on the biggest sunsets.

9 通の返信Sweet Lew 88により編集済み: 11/17/2020 12:12:13 AMI'm a D1 beta player, not sure why people need to flex this. I'm fine with sunsetting. They already do it with nerfs and have done it in the past. It will be fine.

I've been playing D2 since day 1. On the 2nd day of the xpac when I realized 90% of my weapons (100% of my godrolls) in my inventory and vault were useless outside of non-comp pvp (I only play comp and pve) ... I literally uninstalled D2 for the first time ever and deleted the channel from my discord server. I'm not going to grind for hours on end for RENTED gear. I'm not going to support a company who disrespects their players like that. My entire circle of friends agrees with me and there were no complaints when I deleted the D2 channel from our discord.. Forcing decisions like this on your long-term players is the worst move Bungie has ever made. RIP Destiny 2

1 返信You can still use them in strikes mate.
but they did increase the base light on every activity so they are essentially useless....
1 返信STARKILLER2258により編集済み: 11/17/2020 6:13:24 AMI'll have to admit, I wasn't following this sunsetting thing much. The way I understood it was they were just going to make certain guns useless, which to me was silly, and no surprise really. On day one of this mess I looked in my vault and seen a shit ton of flagged guns that are now capped at 1060 and are now basically useless. Then I started getting drops of guns that I saw in my vault that were useless, only these weren't useless. They are non useless twins of the useless ones in my vault. I'm I getting that right so far? Does that even sound sane? A few days in I noticed a lot of my snipers were useless, like pretty much all of them. I started looking through the vault and there isn't an energy slot sniper in my entire vault that isn't useless, except for the Distant Tumulus, thats it. I haven't even seen a replacement energy slot sniper of any kind yet. Is that how it is? What the hell was the point of all of this?

27 通の返信Enough experience with Destiny would show just how obviously bad of an idea this was. Infusion exists for a reason, sunsetting is the antithesis of it. It does not apply to Destiny, it cannot be successfully implemented in Destiny, THAT IS WHY WE ARE EVEN HERE.

Concerning pvp pinnacles they didn't go far enough if you ask me. Some of these weapons were absolute crutches in the crucible which is of course what got all of this started. Then in an amazing twist they put these weapons up for sale at the tower capped at 1060 which is only viable... In the crucible. Bungie knocked my IQ down a few points, I think Im slightly dumber after realising this decision.

1 返信As far as I understand it, Correct me please if I am wrong, but PVP is Normalized, in it's most basic variations. So using old gear and guns there is ok, again I don't know for sure but that's how I understand it... Of course Iron Banner and Trails don't count, those are not-normalized PVP activities. So that leaves PVE, Raids, Grandmaster Nightfalls, that kind of thing... My point is that what a lot of people are in the game for is the casual PVP scene, seems like the VAST majority of players in the game these days are just non-comp or comp. They don't raid they don't lore most of them don't buy DLC they just play PVP. ... are these the dudes flipping out about sunsetting and are they SURE sunsetting really affects them in any real way? Hardcore players who played last season had a WHOLE SEASON of drops. TONS of Legendary Loot, a CORNUCOPIA of Armor, some nice Weapons, as much Legendary Shards as they could carry... All that gear was 1360, good for the next year. I got a lot of stuff and in fact some of what I didn't get was given here in the DLC. Now regarding Sunsetting itself, +Do I LIKE sunsetting? NO. +Could it be handled better? YES. +Do I believe the game kinda needs it? YES. +Do I think it's a big flipping deal and reason for some players to straight up QUIT?... ....I think Quitting Destiny 2 solely over sunsetting would be a gross over-reaction, OP.

7 通の返信It's ironic watching people come out of the woodwork. People who say they supported sunsetting at first but now don't. I say this now and I said it when it was first announced. I called that this would happen. I knew this would happen. That we would end up with no guns and an extremely limited selection.

18 通の返信MeowLurusにより編集済み: 11/16/2020 4:54:53 PMIn my opinion I like sun setting the reason is we get to explore new weapons and armor sets using the same stuff for 3 years gets boring and bland you need to step out of your comfort zone to experience new things. You think sun setting is bad look at d1 our fate bringer was irrelevant for 2-3 years and many other things old raids didn’t help you and was pointless to play so much content with no meaning. The way bungie has set it aside is sun setting only effects end game PvE, trials, iron banner, and gambit(tbh never Understood why). The moon, tangled shore, dreaming city, edz, pvp core and pvp comp you can use all your old stuff.
