Stasis in PVP is the worst of every meta over 7 years rolled into one.
It’s not going to go away and all the matches revolve around your recharge rates and chucking stasis at each other. This is extraordinarily boring.
Edit: I don’t know what anyone is talking about in respect to what guns anyone is using. I don’t pay attention and I tend to use ARs and scouts. If you are here complaining about previous seasons/years/metas, that is my point with stasis. It is all of that plus whatever the gun meta is.
Edit 2: Because there might be confusion. I am not getting wrecked by Stasis. I play mid range, so I don’t have a lot of direct pain from it.
Edit 3: Thnks Bungie, in less than a month, you created a shotgun/sniper meta. Most mid range guns aren’t capable of taking down a shotgun ape and because of Stasis, it’s either freeze em and charge or snipe from long range. This isn’t a natural meta and it shows.

7 通の返信I really wish it was disabled for pvp and trials. Make a separate mode where you can only go in if your stasis is equipped and they can freeze each other all day if they want.

I think the duration of the freeze is far too long. Got owned several times by it... and that break free animation just adds to the issue. Hopefully they’ll address it soon. Before I see the get good comments I’m at an overall 2.44 efficiency. If its an issue for experienced players, imagine the new comers attempting PVP.

So glad that bungie allocated resources to address hunters dodge. Now we have a perfectly balanced PvP. And Bungies efforts weren't at at unnecessary because they had already developed lots of amazing content for Beyond Light so they had devs twiddling their thumbs.

Not only are you frozen for 5 seconds, but you then go through an unavoidable animation as you free yourself. I'm not sure who Bungie used to playtest, but they must be horrendous at Crucible if they couldn't consistently take advantage of the immobility and notice there was a problem. Unless they don't playtest their pvp content, in which case everything makes a lot of sense.

Agreed. The problem with stasis is it completely takes away from actual primary GunPlay. Now it’s just freeze then shotty/snipe them. Near zero primary play at all now. So if you thought special was bad before..... it’s only going to get worse. So how do we fix it? Eliminate Stasis from crucible? Or Nerf the crap out of the cool down period for grenades/ melees Or Make a playlist where Stasis isn’t allowed. (This is my favorite option.) I mean we do have players that didn’t buy the DLC whom I can guarantee dont like going up against stasis. It’s way too oppressive vs their setups. This way the few who do like this in PvP have a place to play and the many who don’t also have a place to play. But how do we get Bungie to listen? They’ll only listen When the PvP numbers plummet....

I like how people think good players are complaining about this but we actually aren’t. I can easily slap any degenerate using stasis with ease rn. So if they fix it great, if not fair enough I’m still good enough to destroy any kid that spams freeze abilities.

6 通の返信Who would've thought that a CC ability that is readily available, is easy to use, makes you completely immobile, counters Supers, and does massive damage to you just by breaking out of it's effect would be frustrating to fight against?
