Just because Anthem sucked and everyone stopped playing it, doesn't mean you are right. Cause Anthem everyone got bored of in a matter of days. But people have claimed MANY games would kill Destiny. Anthem, Borderlands 3, Division, Cyberpunk, and many more. But everyone is right. Not in the terms that ONE game released and killed Destiny. But all of the games that people claimed was gonna kill Destiny, technically is killing Destiny. Cause reality is, 21 million players have been tracked, as bought Destiny 2 and played it. But I have watched Destiny Tracker everyday for over 2 years now, and not one single day has this game had 1.2 million logins as a maximum in a single day. So YES. Anthem, Division, Overwatch, Borderlands 3, Red Dead 2, Gears 5, GTA, ALL games killed Destiny. Cause 1 in 21 players who used to play, still do. And 20 in 21 players, have quit, have valid reasons they had enough, and hate Bungie and refuse to comeback. Destiny is the ONE game out, that over 95% of people have quit, and refuse to play ever again for many different reasons, that they all now HATE Destiny and Bungie. Other games, people got bored of, and stopped playing, but could be offered things to play again. Destiny on the other hand. Doesn't matter the DLCs or what is being offered. 20 in 21 people will not come back cause they actually have resentments against Bungie for Bungie's actions, and they are voicing them while playing whatever games they play now. Hense why there has been ZERO increase in players even though Bungie fuqin just made D2, Forsaken, and Shadowkeep, free on gamepass, and Beyond Light will be free! Bungie giving everything for free has caused zero increase in logins, cause so many people quit and convinced their friends that Destiny and Bungie is so awful, that it isn't even worth playing for free. Not only in over 2 years has 1.2 million logins been not possible, if you were me and watched Destiny Tracker everyday for this specific reason, you too would have watched Destiny dying. When Bungie pisses off the community with shit that's huge, like Sunsetting that made many quit. The numbers actually reflect such Bungie dumb ideas and when they disrespect the community, and logins trend downwards further and further. At this point. It is not mathematically possible for Bungie to pay their 750 employees salaries with their less than 1 million player base. Sure, the yearly DLC, is around $40-$60 each fall. But that's less than $60 million in sales a year, to pay 750 employes over $70 million dollars of salaries AT LOWEST. Bungie is bleeding money for 2 years now, that's why they scrapped their work on Destiny 3. They annouced 3 years of DLCs on this game instead to milk us for 20% the amount of content of a sequel at the same price as a fuqin sequel. They can't even afford to make a Destiny 3 anymore cause of how they can't do anything at this point to get the logins they need to see profits. So why not give us a small planet, 1 strike, no new PVP maps, call it a DLC, charge $60, instead of making a brand new game from scratch, and in 3 years when they got the little money they could from 3 more DLCs into D2, they will annouce their intentions to give up on Destiny alltogether. Everyone at this point should realize, this game is 3 years old. Bungie should have released Destiny 3 1 year ago already. They now are choosing to not even make a Destiny 3, and going to add a little bit over 3 years to this game. We should all be able to accept the fact that they aren't going to release a Destiny 3 in 3 years. They can't make a sequel cause it costs more than their sales, and them putting everything for free for Xbox players is a clear message that they know they can't even sell Beyond Light at full price to everyone, so they are taking significantly less from a subscription revenue.

I remember when borderland 3, anthem, the division, and no man sky was going to kill destiny 😂 And yet destiny still is far better than those games! I still have hope for anthem not gonna lie

I really wanted Anthem to be awesome. We all know how that went. It still has potential. I hear they're still working on it.

I remember seeing people state on here "Bungie killed Destiny" countless times before and yet here we are, the game still not dead. It's doing just fine for a 7 year old ip. Are we going to agree with all development decisions? Nope. Does the game still have a large player base? Yep. Is the game profitable for the company? Yes. Is the game still enjoyable for the overwhelming majority of players? Yes. Is it just the whiners on here constantly spewing negativity? Yes. So we carry on as normal then.

Nothing can kill Destiny. It has no direct competition atm.

Except destiny is still going strong. They also said no mans sky would kill destiny.

For me I had hoped it would've killed Destiny. I think for most though, the ones who knew that Bungie were becoming Scumgie, they wanted Anthem to challenge Bungie. Make them feel the healthy pressure that game developers need to feel in order to compete with one another and produce quality products for us gamers.

It did though a whole two people are playing anthem right now. Two people who could be playing destiny but choose not too. Destiny is dead.

Ummm i think, I may be wrong, but there is still a very large active destiny playerbase . The day I load into the tower and there isn't a single soul there, then I'd think the game was dead. Destiny is still alive and kicking
