Bungie actually said no. You can read the TWAB that explains they think they are in a "good place" as they are.

Remember the nameless midnight meta of Vanilla, we atleast could go back to that and it would be fine with me -
Scouts not being able to one tap mobs like acolytes in content that isn’t gm is disappointing. Like in pit chamber of suffering I run a bow because it can always one tap acolytes, but a scout would be such a good weapon there if they were better. And that activity is what like 950?

I think the aim assist buff will help get that d1 feeling back. They just don’t feel sticky enough right now.

Yes. I pulled out the good old Polaris Lance while helping a friend finish their heroic Whisper, as that was pretty much one of the best options back when it launched. I used Mountaintop 90 percent of the time, even against shielded enemies.

I think only for headshots One headshot should kill a at a decent range Said range should be equal to max bow range How ever this would make bows a crappy weapon So make the arrow effects have a little bit more Uhhh Boom? Or maybe more knock back and stun for arrows but more pure damage for scouts?
-
Maybe a damage buff so they can one tap to the head to red bars. That would be perfect
-
i feel like damage is fine but their mag size is too small. if i remember correctly, Vision of Confluence from d1 had 27 in the mag... 27

I remember how great scouts were in D1, but so many users at the time were using the thorn, and the last word that I felt like the multi tool was slept on And then the community got HC nerfed into the dirt..The multi tool had its moment of be “op” and then we got that nerfed 😂

Problem with that is that it will promote staying in the back of the map and picking enemies off. If Bungie buffed them to D1 levels, then we will enter a PvE meta where everybody is essentially safe from danger while still slaying out. Bungie wants players to be medium to close range with enemies. This is why they nerfed Snipers in SK, because “they promoted staying at the back”. Besides, they would have to buff HCs and pulses before they buff scouts.
-
The problem is if you give scouts the same DPS as other weapons, there would be no reason to use anything else because you can do the same damage from a safer range with a scout. They’re fine where they are, they do less damage for substantially less risk. People just don’t want to accept that.

While I agree that scouts need a pve buff, they really only need a small buff. We need more “large encounters” that don’t force too many close encounters. That and we need a range buff on scouts, some experience fall off around 600 auto ranges. On the pvp side I’d say reduce how much flinch you receive and increase how much flinch you deal.
