Probably should correct the gender before sending your fan mail. Kelly is male.

Unfortunately, we didn’t hit it off IRL, so I unfriended him. It wasn’t a bad break, that didn’t happen until later, where he threatened TOS on me for pointing out things he said in another thread(as a personal attack). I disagree with your post. Kellygreen gets very ugly with people who try to have a reasonable discussion, while extending an olive branch to those who are the most rude to him. Basically, he likes his arguments easy, he’ll patiently argue till he’s blue in the face with an idiot, while getting toxic with anyone who may could expose the weakness in his arguments. He also will resort to trolling when he starts losing. Watch closely and you’ll see.

TheArtistにより編集済み: 10/27/2020 7:37:02 PMI give what, I get. Simple as that. If I'm treated with respect, I will show it in return. If I'm not, I will push back against it. ...and you didn't just try to "point things out to me." I remember you basically trying to scold me in front of the entire forum, and then claim you were doing it for "my own good." Please. I might have fallen for that 20 years ago...but I'm too old for that at this point. Friends support in public, and (when necessary) scold in private. I knew better than to do that to someone I was friends with when I was 18 and had to let my college roommate know that he was alienating his friends over something he was passionate about. I talked to him about it privately. I didn't confront him on it in the middle of the cafeteria at dinner time.

Synge_Xにより編集済み: 10/27/2020 10:06:10 PMNothing I said to you was ugly or mean, I pointed out the weakness of your argument and you scolded and threatened me. But to honor your feelings, I apologized, removed every post. I did that because I try to be humble and do the right thing. I also, conceded the argument when you got heated as to deescalate the situation and you kept on and on attacking. Far beyond, “giving what you got”. I tried to tell you that you had “won”, and that I was wrong and sorry for getting you upset. You even shamed me for even suggesting that it was about “winning”, while IN THE SAME THREAD BRAGGING TO ANOTHER USER HOW YOUR ARGUMENT WAS ABOUT WINNING... and that you had won.

I’m not going to argue with these points, because I agree. I’ve seen it before, and I’ve disagreed with him a couple of times before, but I’m just pointing out the fact that he has the absolute slugging balls to argue with that many people on a daily basis.

Oh hell yeah, I’ll give Kelly respect for that, no doubt. Ego is the problem, he’s a hard headed, but talented writer. If he opened his mind more, he’d be a leader in this community... instead he’s become the undisputed king of burnt bridges now that Lost Sols is gone.

TheArtistにより編集済み: 10/27/2020 8:06:24 PMI have no interest in being the leader of a mob. What I find both sad....and funny....is how many of try to attack me by claiming that I have no self-awareness. When the fact is that most have NO idea how this place is seen by the rest of the Destiny community....or how the things people regularly do here would be dealt with in the real world out from under the veil of internet anonymity. Those of who participate here in OffTopic should know that the Destiny threads are simply called the Salt Mines. When you mention the Bungie forums anywhere else this game is talked about....people just laugh. Because the level of toxicity that festers in this place is seen as joke. Shit. Just look at what happens whenever one of the CMs makes a post talking about the most mundane of topics. You can count on dozens of posts that are nothing more than verbal abuse....and some of it of the most lurid, what-the--blam!--is-wrong-with-you variety. Why in Gods Name would I want to be a leader of THAT?!?!?! Why would I want to speak for people who believe that treating anyone like that----especially someone doing their job, and not responsible for whatever it is you're unhappy about at the moment---is justifiable?? No thanks. You can tell a lot about a man by the quality of the enemies he makes. Because if you stand for something, you will make them. Just how humans are wired. Whether its because they disagree with what you stand for....or they agree with you but resent the integrity to stand for it. To stand for principles rather than pander to personalities. I'd rather be hated for being the guy who says that kind of behavior is unacceptable, than be loved for being the guy making excuses for it.

Sometimes people become leaders because they are called, not because they want it to. Why you ask? Because We’ve seen Bungie pull people from these forums to represent it at the summit. Who better than the “resident adult in the room”, Kellygreen. I should have phrased what I believe is a lack of self awareness better, and for that I’m sorry. A better, less aggressive way to say what I feel is that I believe you have serious blind spots in several of your more biased, emotional arguments. With a little willingness to be humble and listen, you could use your gift of writing to help others have a better outlook on this game and it’s community. In doing so, you could actually use the copious amount of time you spend discussing this game, actually having a say in its development. You have solid ideas, but they’re buried under ego and a need for conflict that clouds your judgement. Trust me, as bad as it gets here, many are willing to listen if you are.

Synge_Xにより編集済み: 10/27/2020 7:50:39 PMLost Sols started off strong, he wrote passionate well written feedback, gained a lot of support, started a Destiny Truthcast(podcast), and even attended the first Destiny creator Summit! Ego got the better of him, as he refused to take criticism, and engaged constantly in toxic us vs them arguments like SBMM vs CBMM, PVP balance breaking PVE balance(PVE vs PVP), and eventually being a staunch supporter of D2’s launch(because it was more casual). He went to war with the same community that embraced him, burnt bridges with those most close to him from this community, quit his clan and was eventually run off the forum. Sad.
Yup, you me and Kelly are some of the only ones left from that time. I got to know Sols personally after doing the podcast, he’s a good dude, just a bit of a hot head.
I’m glad you were able to get that opportunity at least. He had contacted me to be on the podcast, and I was trying to get the equipment and programs figured out to actually appear, and he basically went all nuclear on me a couple days later, said I was what was wrong with the community and blocked me. So unfortunately I never got that opportunity to get to know the guy in that regard. Which was a real shame. But you are right, there are not a lot of us left from that time period. A timeframe where we were trying to help other players through content without being paid to do so because we wanted others to experience the joy of raids and other things like we had. Sadly times have changed. But that was the community I think we were all proud to be apart of.....now we are just all at each others throats, pointing fingers at one another, as if we are the ones in charge of the changes. It’s sad to think about. Lol, I hardly recognize anyone else from that time. So few remaining. We certainly lost a lot of people over the years. I even sometimes chuckle remembering some of cbrStars’ weekly A.S.S.H.A.T. posts, especially when reading today’s TWaBs. Miss that lighthearted stuff, you know.
