Hey there! The #Help forums are not able to assist with appeals of restrictions or bans. However, there is a process in place for him to appeal his ban or restriction.
Please review the Contact Form: Appeal Ban or Restriction article found here.
Please note that, as mentioned in the article, there is no guarantee for a response, nor is there a guarantee that his ban or restriction will be overturned.
For more information on Bungie's policy regarding bans and restrictions, please review the policy here.
Also, if you suspect someone of cheating, you can use the in-game report tool. You can also report users by utilizing Bungie’s Report Suspected Cheating article.
Here is the information they are looking for:
* Display name of the “known good” player. Is this you? A friend of yours?
* Display name of the suspect(s) and any other identifying info you have (clan name, Steam ID, etc.)
* Explain what suspicious behavior was observed.
* Note the platform the behavior was observed on.
* Provide a link to the Post-Game Carnage Report (PGCR) on Bungie.net.
* And if possible:
* Give us links to any video evidence. This could be a YouTube video or archived Twitch stream with timestamps, a clip, or a video you have recorded and shared via a public sharing service. (Sorry, we can’t connect to your private Google Drive or OneDrive to view a video).
Either the appeal shows bungie there was a mistaken ban, or it doesn’t. The number of cases that are mistakes is negligible. Its none. There’s been like 6 in all of D2’s history. Bungie decides if it succeeds because they have the data they banned you for in the first place
