Wasn’t the whole reason CBMM was returned because people whinnied QP was too sweaty with SBMM? Now that its back to CBMM are the casual players really complaining now about another thing? The only mode that mountain top can hurt is comp which still uses SBMM (with a tad bit of matchmaking from your score) so you probably wont face people with pinnacles if you never hit fabled. My whole point is this: Its being sunset and crucible has already been changed so its no longer “sweaty” in its basic modes so why do you all need more things to be nerfed and changed in crucible, its quite annoying that people blame a gun when they die instead of saying “hmm maybe I shouldn’t run head first into someone who has a gun that can easily kill me if i do that” they say “Hey that gun is to overpowered i cant possibly kill him its impossible”. Crucible will never be balanced because of how the game is (aka exotics and bad devs) just leave these guns alone they are already being made useless in PvE do they really have to be useless in PvP, mountain top is about to be given the same treatment as lunas and NF

Mountaintop? Unwarranted? HA!!!!! That's actually funny. Theres only one weapon in the history of destiny that I've wanted jusy flat out removed from the game, and that weapon is mountaintop. Thing is just broken in pvp. And if you didnt expect a guillotine nerf, idk what to tell you. It severely outclasses any other heavy and completey trivializes 90% of pve content. Not surprised at all that its being nerfed

There is no other way to describe it. It is unwarranted. I dont give a flying eff about pvp. In pvp, I've rarely encountered the weapon, and when I did, it never bugged me the way jotunn or shotguns do. Pvp should NEVER influence pve changes. If bungie wants to change it for pvp, fine, whatever...but keep those changes in the dumpster fire that is pvp. And with Falling Guillotine, no, I should not have expected a nerf (knowing Bungie's attitude, yes, everyone should, in reality) - I expect other, less utilized options, to be improved. Gaming optimization shouldn't involve destroying everything to the lowest common denominator. "Power creep" is a bs excuse.

Just remove the gun from the game or make it exotic the whole idea is OP. One thing i dont agree with is that it has a margin of error when you shoot, if should shoot straight forward not go off to the side a bit

Yeah, that's why quite literally almost nobody uses them, because they're in such a good place no doubt. Nerfing Falling Guillotine to 'be in line with other swords' made me legitimately facepalm, because WHAT'S THE POINT OF HAVING A DIFFERENT TYPE OF SWORD, IF THERE'S NO BENEFIT FROM ONE TO THE OTHER? They should have nerfed the damage by about only 10~%, and nerfed the [b]CHARGE RATE[/b] for the heavy attack, so it couldn't be a jack of trades blind use for heavy boss damage and crowd control. Mountaintop needed to be toned down; I love grenade launchers, I've been top-tier with them since Halo Reach, but I actually loathe mountaintop because of it's performance of 'instant explosion grenades' on a breach grenade launcher, but I honestly think reducing the explosion radius a bit and giving it actual projectile damage falloff (since it didn't function like an actual breach grenade launcher), would have been more appropriate than neutering the gun 5 different ways. Ruinous: What? Why? Not a single person said it was overpowered, and the refraction ability literally drained it's energy and would kill you if you continued to do so after running out of ammo to compensate for the damage. It's baffling what goes through their heads.

With ruinous effigy you could get top tier dps by spamming the air attack with good timing, and by stacking certain melee buffs. A special weapons doesn’t need to deal almost 100k dps over a long period like that. The drain attack also dealt a lot of damage for an ability that suppresses enemies and heals you. The gun will still be fantastic, you just cant do pre nerf falling guillotine damage with it anymore.

You see, sunsetting was supposed to handle problems like Mountaintop, but power doesn't matter in regular Crucible so it will continue to poison Crucible so now they've sunset your weapons and they still have to do something about Mountaintop. Genius in motion.
