Running Top Tree Tether Hunter with 100 mobility for 10 second invis dodge is the key to completion, not mods. Need proof, look at my emblems. Did Shattered Throne on Warlock, Pit on Titan (no duping), and Prophecy on Hunter.

    Any advice for running pit solo? Specifically the room [i]after[/i] the meandering invincible ogre brothers?

  • Ahhh Totem. Easily the hardest solo encounter. Kinetic Sniper, like Bite of the Fox. You need to kill the boomer knights up top as quickly as possible when they spawn because they make your life hell. Trinity Ghoul was my add clear. You can clear the room and hit Acolytes behind cover with the Chain Lightning. Need to have the catalyst. Falling Guillotine for the ball Knight. En Garde allows you to one shot them with the spin, but it’s safer to block as you get close, slash once then spin. Pick up the ball, run immediately back to the plate for a few, then dunk. Kill the Boomers as they spawn then focus on add clear. Clear the room, including the top and right Acolytes. Wait for the Knight on left side to respawn, just focus on the left for your ball spawns. I was on Titan and used Bottom Tree Solar for health regen on ability kills. I used Ashen Wake (yeah, I know) because it was basically an immediate health button. The grenade will one shot any red bar in the room and the Cauterize will give you health back. Save Hammers for if you find yourself in an oh shit scenario, like if the Thrall are on you while the Boomers are still up. Use Barricade liberally. As far as the other classes go I’d say maybe Graviton Forfeit or Wormhusk Crown with Top Tree Nightstalker for invis. For Warlock probably Devour with the Stag for Rift energy. For Zulmak, just go slow and avoid the Cursed Thrall during damage and you’ll be fine. Use either Xenophage or Anarchy for damage.

Your best bet is to put a sword on, hit a knight and grab the orb, dunk it and then hop on totem plate for a few seconds. Nade the steps right in front of you to slow the thrall down and pull out a sniper to take care of the boomers that appear while the nade covers you. 2 headshots each knight so pick a sniper that has 4+ in a mag to save a second reload animation. Then get back to moving. Ignore the acolytes unless they're directly in your path. They will not push onto the totem plate so they pose little threat and will only spawn a replacement everytime you kill one. At best you'll get 2 seconds of 1 less gun shooting at you, at worse you'll waste valuable ammo. Rinse and repeat

  • Not true. The Acolytes spawn in packs of three and can have up to nine total on each side if you don’t kill any.

I didnt say how many acolytes spawn, just that they respawn when you kill them so they're not worth killing. Thats the advice im giving because that is what worked for me. Theres no required definitive way to do it, just so long as you don't die.

Obviously killing them is beneficial, but I also feel like because they keep spawning its a wasted effort

  • Which is true to a degree. But those f***ckig grenades they throw always seem to hit me somehow If it works for you, more power to ya, but I find it beneficial to just get them out of my mind

I tried but found they spawn back too quickly so wasn't offering much of a benefit for me
