Bungie, you’re a professional games developer that caters to audiences worldwide.
Beyond light LAUNCHES on November 10th, why the -blam!- does every poor -blam!- not in America have to waste the day away waiting for it to launch?
Hell, even launching it at 00:00 PST would be reasonable for every other timezone, but 10am? -blam!- off, being an American company doesn’t count as a valid excuse anymore, especially when every other developer can launch expansions at reasonable times for everyone else.

3 通の返信You know that you can just, like. Play it at a time other than immediately after launch?

5 通の返信Lmao such a small thing to flip your shit over. If you care that much just wake up and play it when it comes out no matter the time. Otherwise just shut up. It's their product and they get to decide when they release it. They don't tell you when to submit your work.
-
1 返信It's for their time zone and at a time when the whole staff will be working. Which means more people to fix problems that might arise. It's a good thing.
-
1 返信You want them to all be at work at midnight so you can play a video game a few hours earlier? Bruh.

You aren’t entitled to a time zone change from Bungie. This is a petty post. “ur a professional gaming company why cant u convert in to est ya ya” like holy crap. I know its just timezones but it’s literally petty.

2 通の返信I'd say the times are they way they are due to Bungie being based in America so their releases are probably during their business hours so that the relevant employees can monitor the launch?
-
2 通の返信I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Because people live all around the world no matter when they release it it's going to be at an inconvenient time for someone.

2 通の返信Kemaleonにより編集済み: 10/9/2020 5:21:51 PMThe reason they update at that time is so they have all hands on deck for the release. Previously they had a different reset time but it meant there was no one around to fix any problems. And oh boy are there always problems. Back in the old D1 days a new release could be delayed by HOURS because they weren't able to deal with any issue. Key staff would be home sleeping! Now they get to work, have time to get coffee and run some last minute checks and get everything ready to hit the release button. Then when everything invariably goes wrong they have everyone there, awake and prepared to deal with it. It also means other businesses are available too such as the companies they rent the servers that store our characters and those we download the updates from. This means the delay and account server queues are far less than they used to be. But you want them all to be at work at midnight for a release? Doesn't seem sensible does it?

At reset the same as its always been

5 通の返信What annoys me the most is that they announce the time in pst, so the entire world has to convert that through Google to their time. They should use gmt since everyone in the world automatically knows what that converts to in their time.

6 通の返信I don't understand, its just a time conversion. You literally get to play on the same minute everyone else does???

2 通の返信I live in Australia, got no issues with their release times. Since D1 launched, the reset time moved several times and it was all OK for me. Single release time will always cause grief (to people like you to be honest) to some there is no way around that. Wait for several hours ffs, how hard it is

1 返信I can't tell if you're complaining about the actual time or that they don't convert the time for you. Converting is very easy. And the actual time is because the actual weekly/ daily reset is at 10am PST (1pm EST).
