Controversial opinion: Cipher drop rate does NOT need adjusting
Everybody needs to chill their beans, you dont need to get all the loot and triumphs on day 1.
The highest cipher based triumph is 45 cipher chests opened.
And this event runs for 4 weeks/28 days
In the last 2 days of playing on just 1 character I've had 9 ciphers drop from heroic story missions, strikes and crucible.
So I've had 1/5 of the highest triumph level already drop in just 1/14 of the available time.

You are right. It feels wrong to blow through content like this in a couple days. However, I do have one counterpoint. It's the exact same thing as the last 2 years, and I simply don't want to grind every day for the entire duration. I want to take a break, but fomo keeps me going against my will. I am a HUGE sucker for holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas, so this event is always hype for me, but without anything new from last year, it just gets old [i]very[/i] fast. I'd like to be done with it and only play because I want to, not because I'm afraid of missing out.

So I've had 1/5 of the highest triumph level already drop in just 1/14 of the available time.[/quote] I got 3 in 10 hours so far. 2 of those were the guaranteed ones from the strike after talking to Spider. 8 strikes, 7 lost sectors, 3 Pit of Heresy, 11-13 patrols, 8 Heroic Contact public events, Interference mission, 3 nightmare forest runs... and a Prophecy Dungeon I ONLY GOT 1 DROP IN 10 HOURS!!!!!!! My Triumph shows 2 of 45 right now after using 3 Cipher Decoders. You tell me, working as intended?
