As Titans and hunters now have an exotic that changes their class ability, it would be nice to see some interesting ideas in the warlock department. Like consume your rift to gain a buff of some kind or replace it altogether with something new like make the warlock go berserk or something (I’m just spitballing ideas). I like the idea of replacing class abilities for something unique, it should be done more often!

Now that Hunters got blink, teleport, whatever you want to call it, it's time for us to get invisibility.

AlteraLateralusにより編集済み: 10/8/2020 2:33:32 PMIdeas for consuming Rift and changing it to something else. 1. Becomes an Arc soul/ soul for any currently equipped element and subclass. 2. Makes grenade and/or melee come back instantly. 3. Instantly reload all equipped weapons. 4. Gives Blink in any subclass for 30 seconds. 5. Makes your rift portable, heals you and allies anywhere you go for 10 seconds.

You know what would be neat? An exotic that changes rift into a pseudo-Sunsinger. You would glow brightly and if you get within a certain distance of enemies they will have blind/stun effect for ai or be blinded as if they were hit by a Titan flashbang. Only drawback is you wouldn't be able to sprint while it is active (for balance)

Been wanting something like this for a while. Exotic Warlock Helmet “Nomad’s Covenant” Exotic Perk: “Wandering Song” Your Rift is replaced with an Aura centered on the User. The Auras are 50% larger than a Rift, and grant effects to all users within the Aura (including the user) for the duration. If the User dies, the Aura fades with it, ending all effects. Auras are essentially mobile, but weaker Rifts, that I believe would help create a better neutral game dynamic for Rifts and would lead to more Rift-focused Set-ups within the game. Healing Auras would have the same HPS, but would be unable to grant Overshields. Empowering Auras would grant the same damage increase, but the duration of the Aura is reduced by 33% (estimated 10 seconds, compared to 15 seconds).

I would love an exotic that instantly fills up my grenade and melee by sacrificing our rift. Killing enemies reduce the cooldown of rift, now we lose the ability to heal ourselves but we now have more lethality with our abilities

Ion, Disciple of Melvinにより編集済み: 10/8/2020 1:50:36 PMDon’t warlocks have a similar idea with their grenades?
Not saying that I’m against this, but that the idea of “consume X ability for Y alternate ability” is already in the game.
Enemies caught in the field are immobilized along with you; however, you are able to aim and fire your weapons. Significantly increases your rift's recharge time. (Author's note: Could make it take twice as long to recharge the rift than normal, definitely a discussion point.) Lore Tab "Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a piece of rock flying about the universe? No control of your trajectory, at the whim of whatever forces you encounter? Of course you haven't... it's nothing more than space debris to you. Me? I think of it all the time. The carefree nature of its travels... the sense of immeasurable velocity... everything it has ever witnessed out in the expanse of our universe... Interested now? No? It matters not at the moment. The whole point of the question, after all, was to ask another question: What would it be like to see that rock simply... stop? Its momentum... its speed... its intents... all brought to a complete and utter halt? Ha ha... NOW you're intrigued, and I know exactly why. Then let us continue the lesson. After that... we ask the 'rocks' directly."

I would like 2 exotics: One that allows you to move with your rift when consumed And one that allows you to plant your rift faster

SIERRA - 117により編集済み: 10/9/2020 9:19:51 PMWould love an exotic that gives us a mobile rift. Using empowering or healing is up to the player. Or alternatively, an exotic that makes your rift turn into a blight and deal damage to nearby enemies/players. Imagine in crucible when you lay down that rift and someone tries to rush you you. Even if they kill they still will take damage. Heck you could lay down rifts as a way to deny access to lanes, like titans do with barricades.

What would be cool is an exotic that adds a unique hazard to a rift based on subclass choice. Wouldn't be too hard either since Stasis is already getting something similar. Solar subclass rifts ignite enemies that enter it for a steady DoT, void could draw enemies in and/or disrupt ability use, arc could repel enemies with bolts of energy (ie riskier rift rushing / deterrence for players and mobs). That or maybe an instant AoE pulse heal that trades the overshield a healing rift rift can potentially (eventually) give for an instant burst of full health to friendlies near the warlock. Empowering rift maybe gives a short duration buff that makes all hits crits that lasts half the duration of a normal empowering rift. Stuff like that. You know, give rifts some teeth to them or some mobility benefits that they sorely lack in this mobility-heavy sandbox.

killa beaverにより編集済み: 10/9/2020 1:45:18 AMWhat would be cool is if they sped up the rift animation like everyone’s been asking about for like 2 f*ckin years.

An exotic that makes the rift portable and exclusive to the warlock itself? Consuming a healing rift grants an overshield and healing for 15 seconds, consuming an empowering rift grants weapon damage for 15 seconds (nothing overpowered 10% increase or around those lines)
-
Just make the rift clip onto the caster to act as a portable healing option? Why is rift stationery someone give me one real reason why it should be when it has the longest cool down and least amount of usefulness in pvp
-
Having it give you a temporary forced health regen would be a nice alternate, but that would never happen because pvp sandbox is tied to pve and people would lose their minds over such a thing in pvp unless it was trash.
