The drop rates for Ciphers is so **disastrously** low, that you guys really need to get ahead of this, and offer the player base some sort of explanation. My only hope is that this is some sort of **bug** that manged to get past the quality-testers, and that this wasn't a deliberate strategy.
Rght now its looking like the drop rate for ciphers is less than one per hour of game play, which is simply unacceptable. Not only is this level of **stinginess** (there is simply no other word for it) shocking, it is a worst-case scenario. In that you have both a large loot pool AND a currency that being heavily-throttled.
Result?
I played for several hours yesterday, and managed to get a grand total of 4 Ciphers....and THREE of those were because I played on two characters, played the initial strike, and was lucky enough to get a two-for-one drop on my second character. Three hours of world play---including two 1020 Nightfalls netted me ONE Cipher. The only gun that I received was an Omolon sidearm that has been dropping in the game for THREE years now. WTF?!?!?
Here's what stinginess with rewards costs you:
I LIKE 450 ARs, and had the reward structur for this even been reasonable, I'd have been happy to grind to get good rolls for these weapons to position myself well for the upcoming year and replace the ones I will lose to Sunsetting.
But, given what's going on right now, what WILL happen I will resentfully put in the hours to get the cosmetic items from Eva....and then I'm out.
UNREWARDED grinding IS NOT CONTENT.
Dragging out thin content with super low drop rates will not incentivize players to play more. It will make them angry and cause them TO DISENGAGE from the game.
The player base has been telling you this for years, but you just **stubbornly** refuse to listen......
Why?

1 返信Then take your own advice and leave the game. You need to stop complaining and accept the truth, that Destiny isn't for you. Go play something else. You're not irreplaceable. Good luck. That is what you tell others for their complaints.. but now that you have a specific problem it's suddenly okay to complain. You're a hypocrite and you contradict yourself constantly. You pompous ass.

blade329により編集済み: 10/7/2020 3:25:06 PMCome on now, Bungie is very generous. They always make sure we have plenty of blue loot. Seriously though, what did you expect? It's Festival of the Lost, but knuckleheads at Bungie want you to spend hours doing strikes instead of going into the Haunted Forest, which is the whole point of the event.

1 返信They are stingy because they have to be. This game does not provide enough depth in content or elements so it has to be capped, limited, and dragged out to compensate.

3 通の返信Kelly, congratulations on one of the most upvoted posts I’ve ever seen. Like I’ve said before we may have disagreed in the past but you are spot on. Low Iron Banner loot drop rates, low event drop rates, random reward pools, and so much more has compounded the clear and obvious loot issue. Legendaries are dismantled just as often as blues because they are worthless and have so much filler to them, tokens promote endless farming for gear that you have a chance at earning thus wasting player time investment, I could go on and on. I’m really starting to miss weekly gear rolls on vendors at this point. At least then I knew what I was getting and was able to set goals.

2 通の返信If you dont like it then dont play it. That is the same thing you have said to other people who have made complaints about the game that you didnt agree with. Be consistent.

117 通の返信We just deployed a fix for the Cipher Decoder drop rate. It was definitely not intended for them to drop that infrequently. Please share feedback after playing with the new change live. Thanks! https://twitter.com/BungieHelp/status/1314265928293466112

1 返信There’s a type of gamer out there that can’t seem to enjoy the game unless it’s the most painfully challenging thing or the longest grind ever. These people do things like play Dark Souls as deprived and only use a stick for the entire run and then complain that it’s too easy. Or they put in some absurd amount of hours for some minor thing and still feel like it wasn’t that bad. I suspect quite a few of these types are employed by Bungie, and quite a few Destiny players fit this as well. These are the same types whose enjoyment of a game seems to be dictated by what other players have and how they acquired it.

8 通の返信I shouldn't have come back. I let my friends talk me into buying this season(after skipping the previous 3 seasons) and Festival of the Decoder has been a stark reminder of why I dropped this game like a hot rock nearly a year ago. I've learned 2 things since returning: 1. Everything new is just a recycled/reskinned version of something else. 2. Destiny is a hamster wheel and nothing more.

4 通の返信Holy crap... Never thought I'd see the day when you would complain after some of your responses to mine, but damn 👏👏
