I stopped playing this game for almost a year. Came back to the forums last week to find that people are complaining about the removal of SBMM despite the number of forum posts I saw a year ago that wanted it's removal.
Strange times.

Because: 1. Bungie gets reactive and tries to quiet whichever is the loudest and most vocal minority at the time. or 2. Bungie makes changtes to the game, and isn't candid with the playerbase as to why they are being made. Bungie brought back CBMM because the Stadia platform is struggling....and right now Bungie needs Stadia as an informal development tool. The Stadia version of the game has a player base that is too small to support any kind of SBMM. So Bungie brought back CBMM for everyone so that the Stadia version would work...and everyone would have the same experience. They did the same thing years ago when the PC version of the game was struggling with player numbers. The result is player base gets subjected to this senseless---from the player point of view----pendulum swing from one extreme to another and back again.

Destiny community is weird. Always somebody complaining about the meta. I couldn’t stand the HC meta. The argument it is more skilled is BS. Just give us 110 HC, fusion rifle and linear fusion meta just to screw with these people.

True. People need to realize that nothing truly takes skill in Destiny 2 This is a game where aim assist is an individual and upgradable statistic on a weapon. Mix that with strong bullet magnetism and you have a game where any weapon is easy to use, so the main factor is TTK. That is why Bungie has a rotating meta. Its the best they can hope for in this complicated sandbox which does not allow proper balancing. People are just mad because they think semi-auto weapons are the peak of skill. That logic would work in any other game. Not this one. So when the meta reaches the auto rifles, nobody is happy
