DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR
after visiting my sister recently I saw the worst side of the players of this game.
my 15 year old nephew was playing one of the pvp modes, he gets invited to a private match, then his team starts abusing and messing with him. he is obviously getting upset as we hear him from the other room. I went in watched for a few minutes then took his headset and jumped into the conversation. as I used to play I can hold my own with toxic players. after a few minutes the reason they are abusing my nephew comes out. one player was on a 9 game win streak and lost the 10th and according to him my nephew didn't get double figures therefore he was the reason his streak broke.
straight up you people who cant handle losing or the fact that others are actually better than you are truly pathetic. but to attack a 15 year old who isn't the type to stoop to this level is absolutely unacceptable.
just who do you people think you are, if he talked trash and brought it upon himself I wouldn't be here. but he isn't the type, he just likes to play.
back when I played I knew the type, but this is next level.

2-ITS A GAME WHO CARES IF YOU WIN OR LOSE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN REMEMBER

You have been extremely toxic yourself, I cant tell if you are just trolling and trying to argue with random people on the internet because you are bored or maybe you are just a very angry person that probably gets offended out of the smallest thing. Either way, the way you have replied to others here only shows you are also part of the problem.

Let the kid fight his own battles. Sheltering does nothing for him. When he's 35 and gets fired, will you be there to financially support him while he cries for the next 2 years? The kid needs to defend himself and stop playing with people who treat others like crap. Point blank. End of story. If he is staying in an abusive relationship, it is his fault. Not everyone in the community is that way so don't blame everyone else.

Mate you know little of the Xbox Live era golden days. Gears 1/2, COD4/WAW/MW2 and Halo 3 era levels of trash talk and the long con were something else. It never reached full toxic peak til Destiny 1 on PS4 with that guy deleting a kids account full of exotic weapons that weren't reclaimable at the time. Kids man. A little trash talk doesn't hurt anyone. In the era of Credit Card Fortnite skins snowflakes. This was nothing. You know nothing of the long con. Befriending a player for days/weeks only to -blam!- em over. Teenage toxicity knows no boundaries.

The most serious problem here is that clearly, the kid never properly learned about appropriate online behavior or the risks of interacting with strangers. Otherwise, he would be sensible enough to know that their insults don't mean anything and that he can quit the game whenever he wants. You should be directing your concern at your sister, not the forums.

Who forced your nephew to join a private game? No one. I don't condone what they did however stop acting like a snowflake. He could have left the private match, reported them and moved on at any point but he didn't. They'll always be bullies out there.. A valueble life lesson your nephew has learnt.

Idk what's funner: 1. The scenario, showing sheer gullibility. 2. The OP's insanely hypocritical replies. 3. The community replies calling him out on it. 4. All of the above. I've seen/known 8-10 year olds with more balls/integrity/common sense than both you and your nephew combined. He was baited into an optional situation that he, in more ways than one, could have gotten out of. Sounds like a definite and serious you problem. You also made it worse upon intervening. Self reliance gone, and dependence on others for rescue learned. Ie, the lazy worker everyone hates that needs his hand held along every step.
